Not long now folks! Will be setting off soon enough, just wanted to wish everyone going a fantastic festival!

Have a rough timetable of full sets/half sets which would result in me seeing 44 bands but I don't think my body will allow for that these days. Really buzzing for Saturday, that potential run of Lovejoy > Creeper > Swim School/Chloe Slater > Sigrid > Wunderhorse > (Some of) Refused > Biffy > English Teacher/MIW (decide on the day) > Linkin Park > Fontaines DC could be up there with the best days I've had in my festival career if they all deliver.

Stay safe and have a good one!

getting very confused by the cashless sytem... on the website, it says:

"Top-up your money online before the event via the mobile app directly to your ticket. Once you show a valid ticket at the door, we’ll activate your chip with the topped-up credit and you can go straight to the festival. Make the online top-up at least one hour before the chip activation. Once you have received your chip wristband, online recharging is no longer possible."

this suggests that once you've topped up the account once, you can't do it again? surely this is a case of bad translation as I can't see how that would make any sense!!

I think they want to say you can't top it up on the phone again. If you need more, you have to do it with cash/card at the festival

My third RFP done! Back in England now, not doing GnR.

Linkin Park were immense, but personal fave sets of the weekend were While She Sleeps and House of Protection!

no complaints for me across the whole event. Every single (minor) issue I encountered was either my own oversight or simply a language/culture barrier. Amazing!

Another great year! Maybe a bit too many people for my taste but at least most of the acts had solid crowds. Saw 24 acts overall and spiced it up with flying over to London for Outbreak (desperately need Turnstile at RfP next year). Linkin Park were great but lots of people just standing with their phones up. My personal favourites were House of Protection, Speed, Grandson's morning set, P/\ST and Smack One & P Money.

Would love to see System of a Down, Sleep Token or Sam Fender headlining next year 🙏

That's going to happen at Linkin Park. Sleep Token were pretty dull at Download though, I'm not that bothered by them but the walking out before they started and from 10 minutes in kinda points to that I'm not alone. They are kind of you either do or you don't, not a neutral/in the middle crowd. I saw this as someone who isn't a big Shinedown fan for example but happily watched a great show without being bored.

Arrived back late last night and back in work this morning (will suffer for that later).

Going to do a full review thing in here at some point soon but what a fantastic weekend that was! RfP 100% on my radar for next year already after ticking all the boxes; great organisation, great food and drink and most importantly, great line up!

Yeah I thought it was great too. Much much better than electric Castle where we went last year. You been to Pohoda?

Fantastic festival! For us it was first time, but definetely not the last one.

The only thing that could be better is availability of water for drinking and washing hands on the site.

Food, beers, bars - all amazing. The sound was almost perfect, besides few concert at Tesco Stage.

Enjoyed spending time in sponsor zones.

Tesco supermarket is game changer in comparision to other festival we went in the past.

Diversity of this lineup was outrageous good.

Looking forward to next year's edition.

I hope that they would follow this direction and book one big headliner (Soad/Foo) and smaller ones like Ghost etc.

Always been tempted by EC because of the location but I've never been blown away by the line up enough to pull the trigger. Never done Pohoda but it was on the radar this year as a cheaper option to tie a holiday and a fest together around seeing QOTSA and Fontaines DC together. Would you recommend it? (Too late for this year but keen to go down the line)

I haven't been to Pohoda mate.. the line-up is tasty this year though and the Slovaks I met at RfP were sound, so i'll be keeping an eye out next year....

Stay away from EC if you want an organised festival. QOTSA pulled out about 3 weeks prior and they never bothered to replace them, instead lying about trying to get someone and then waiting until a couple days out to say there's nobody available. Security was a nightmare, really rude, made you pay for not registering your wristbands. Then loads of British bands pulled out due to some computer issue at the airport. No replacements, nothing. I won;t be back that's for sure!

RfP was great though. We really enjoyed it and will likely go again one year

Interesting to see Bad Omens headlining again here...

Was just on my way to post that. I think after withdrawing from 2024 and their stock only rising they’ll be one of the headliners. I think trying to run 5 days they’ll have a smaller headliner a la Frank Carter & Sex Pistols this year.

With 21Pilots ruled out (thought they might be an outside shout) wonder if we can start considering the possibilities of Gorillaz or Massive Attack as a bit of an alternative headliner?

As for Bad Omens, they have a full schedule on Thursday and Friday, so that leaves only the weekend (probably at Download) and Wednesday. But are they bigger than Electric Callboy, who are playing on Wednesday? I don't think so. I saw Massive Attack twice at RfP, but back then, RfP had a completely different target audience, so now it wouldn't make sense. I'd like to see Gorillaz, but I guess the same applies as with Massive Attack. I still think it will be Limp Bizkit or Foo Fighters (if they go in June) ...

Bad Omens sold out last year the same venue as EC in Czechia this year... and  I just found out that the November tour is all arenas and no Prague... but still, it would be strange to see them headline.

Gorillaz would be cool!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
