So can you use a bike on site if you are working as crew?

Working this year, and when working at other festivals, I have always taken my bike.. really helps with getting about to get on shift easier.

I have seen bikes before at Glasto, so the obvious question, are we able to bring a bike to use inside the festival? Obviously respecting the crowds etc.

Yes, as long as it isn't a motor bike! Pedal cycles are fine.

Nah you are able to cycle onsite … have done every year since 2010  . That’s how I get my kit in with a trailer . The only issues I can foresee are around bike security with no lockups in the crew camps . And as mentioned cycling when busy is hard .

I rode my bike around the festival after gates opened in 2022. Didn’t use it much Fri onwards due to traffic but used it to bomb all over the site on Thursday. Put it in the lock ups when not using it.

I also cycle every year, I have a 1970s 'Shopper' BSA 20 that is so low geared I can cycle at pretty much walking pace. It's a mobile chair 🙂

Thanks guys.. I do do have a home built ebike, its a Hybrid MTB, but might just go for a compact foldup, where if needed, I could fold it in half and wrap it round/lock to one of those scaf flag poles etc..plus would be smaller in the crowds..  just having a think,
