Does anyone know how horrendous the big Tesco in Glastonbury city centre is on the Wednesday morning?
We are thinking of meeting friends there (driving from Birmingham and Lyme Regis respectively) at 8.30am , quick coffee and then convoying into the festival.
Any alternatives would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Loving the 'city' for a population of 10K!

You will be fine. If not there is a B&Q carpark next door. and a KFC plus other vendors over the road.

Currently we are due to get to the car parks around 11am might move it to 10.30am haven’t quite decided yet

We are having the same thoughts, currently thinking 9.30 but if we hold out an extra hour would we be making life easier for ourselves?
Especially as we are aiming for Dairy/Bushy ground

I’d also say 11 . At 10.30 you may hit the back of a queue and 11 you might walk straight in so will make no difference

So parking up for 10.30am (probably at the back of Pink) to then aim to go through the gates at 11am should see very little, or no queue?

yep when bus arrived that time at A a few years back we went straight in  and there was no obvious carpark queue .... obviously this like anything is subject to variability , dont think any year will be the same as previous

Hopefully we will be going through Gate D.

If weather conditions are good should mean people are in more quickly.

Using the shuttle from the town to get in the coach queue is a good hack / green way of travelling. Maybe you could go even further and take a bike on the bus to get in the cyclist queue?

Is there much advantage to the cyclist queue regarding first entry?

  • 2 weeks later...

Following from my worst entry ever last year (6 hours queue at PGA having turned up for PGD at 6.40am)

this year was the best/quickest - got put in Orange west 40 at 11.10am - got wristbanded at gate D by 11.35, pitched up in South Park 1 (same camp as last year) just after 12 noon.

Will 100% do that again if I get a ticket in 2027
