As I said earlier Florence replaced Foo Fighters and she would not have been what people call a Glastonbury headliner size act but her the festival was still great....

The festival survived, no one got hurt, I'm sure there was a few social media tantrums but they can  be ignored......

Point is.  If they can't always fill a slot with a mega act it's not the end of the world

Florence and the Machine are significantly bigger than Chems are currently and were at the time

They did 40k in London the year before that glasto set

While I agree to this, I'd also say that if they can do then they might as well and deliberately going after smaller acts is counterintuitive.

There are very few currently active "mega acts" that I have any interest in seeing.

Personally I'd rather see the likes of Kae Tempest/Little Sims/Shy Girl headline (and yes I know it's not happening) than dull/over-the-hill/over hyped/boring "big acts".

But as your well aware I don't often go to the Pyramid and am very happy frequenting WH, The Park and occasionally The Other Stage (usually for dance acts). So it doesn't really impact on me at all.

There you are then.  The likes of Kae Tempest will always play anyway.

Florence headlines BST, Chems headline APE.

Jungle and Dermot Kennedy headlined APE this year...

Chems co-headlined the most recent time with Kraftwerk as well

----

We're going off topic anyway

Now there's an act we need to get at Glastonbury

Oh my this is too funny... you spend so much time venting against Glastonbury and legacy acts and you want them to wheel out Kraftwerk 😁

The 70s just called and want you to return home. Your Fray Bentos pie is getting cold.

What flavour pie?

Your position seems to be “I love LDR, everyone else is rubbish and anyone who says anything critical is a big old sexist.”

Am I getting that right? Feel like I’ve captured everything there.

Well Kraftwerk are about the only people who've been in showbiz for as long as Elton John.

Explain why they would be a good booking and Elton was a boring one.

Apart from your tastes.

”Except those old duffers - I like them.”

The "We must fix this successful festival that manifestly *isn't* broken by booking shittier acts cos people are too used to having good ones" thought process that crops up here every few months would be baffling if it wasn't so f**king funny.

A Forum fave to fill the quiet periods. Part of the inevitable annual Efestivals cycle.
