, whereas a coalition promises much needed constitutional change

and if we get that change why do you think we'd get different looking govts.

lots of people vote tory cos thats their preferred outcome, the same people will attempt to game the outcome of elections to get a govt they want. no different to what they do now!!!!

constitutional change will not be a magic bullet, the same electorate has the same wants.

Liz Truss would get shown up very quickly, she’s useless in debates in the Commons and generally only looks good at very scripted photo ops. Rishi is more challenging but it appears his shine is waning with his awful hospitality support package which was given too late and via a patronising TV address.

Is it too lazy to suggest Truss would be May Pt.II? I’m not sure she’s hardline enough for the Tory backbenchers to accept a woman in the top role?

Do you think we will get some leaks about Spaffer’s next announcement today? I’m getting the feeling it will be ‘Crack on as you are but be careful and considerate’. Basically be advised to limit contacts etc but no restrictions actually being brought in - especially because of the latest polls.

Truss has got a difficult task with this NI brexit negotiation thing...she could do well and actually get a deal which will play well with the public, but it may not be hard/tough enough for all those dickhead tory MPs in their various research groups.

It is lazy in a way but could also be accurate. She seems like the type of politician that will get shown up with substantial spotlight on her. However she’s by far the most popular Tory within the membership so she’s the front runner for the job at the moment.

She’s weatherspoons ready though. She can say a lot of shite which people won’t challenge.

Heard Graham Brady's name suggested this morning, hero of the back benchers. I think Johnson will be ok for a while and then maybe there will be a challenge if tories do proper shit in local elections.
