I'd be amazed if that's the case.

To be fair I did think that straight after I posted. I wonder how many it is?

That is something to be fair. First Asian PM is important.

Would be i he'd been voted in by the general population, as opposed to being basically the only candidate in an internal "election"

Interestingly a little while ago I saw John McDonnell say that Sunak was pushed by his team into putting the furlough scheme in place as he wasn’t going to do it. I wonder how true that is?

Whatever your polticis this is good news for the country.

I’m intrigued … austerity 2.0 is that good news ? Maybe some short term stability but the rifts haven’t suddenly vanished … let’s see how things go over next few weeks / months and maybe make those declarations then … he’s still a fucking Tory though !!!

I don't know about PM, but the way he speaks I reckon he'd do well on jackanory.

(is jackanory on these days? showing my age a bit)

Last episode was 1996, not too far off 😂

Sunak winning and Johnson fucking off has pretty much reversed the moron premium, and maybe cuts won't have to be that savage...but still, future looks pretty austere when public services are crying out for more cash.

cos the tories have been banging on about having the electorate's mandate, reckon they might fuck themselves with un-mandated cuts.this lot have been superb at destroying their own attack angles.

well, they can always argue that any fiscal changes are due to unplanned for events, such as covid, Russia and Trussterfuckonomics. And they may well win the argument again like they did after the financial crash...just have to see how big and deep some of the cuts go, he may well postpone them if markets continue to stabilise.

    • I'd definitely consider a Blink/BMTH/FNM headline trio. If they can get Edguy over for one of their last shows, it'd probably seal the deal.
