Seems a bit too pop heavy imo (other than the Aerosmith to Macca run its literally all pop music).

Also not convinced RagNBone Man is that big anymore, he's subbing at Victorious which puts him at the same level as The Kooks, Bombay Bicycle Club, James Bay, Friendly Fires etc. (who wouldnt get anywhere near that slot on the main stage imo, maybe like second/third on)

4th is 3rd on (isn’t it?)

out of interest how many pop acts do you see there?

3rd on is 5th (the slot that anne-marie/years &years did last year)

For pop acts:

Kendrick Lemar, Dua Lipa, Alicia Keys, Rag N Bone Man

Macca, NGHFB, Aerosmith, Camilla Cabello

Taylor Swift, Lewis Capaldi, HAIM, Diana Ross

Would say all those bolded are pop acts. Arguments could be made that Kendrick isnt strictly pop in the traditional sense, but as he is played on top 40 radio and with how popular rap is rn, I dont think its completely out of order to say hes pop. Reckon you could easily switch it to something like this though and it would fit better (Haim have a history of getting crappy bookings):

Kendrick Lemar, Dua Lipa, Alicia Keys, <rock band>, Rag N Bone Man

Macca, NGHFB, Aerosmith, Camilla Cabello

Taylor Swift, <rock band>, Lewis Capaldi, Diana Ross, HAIM

Not sure where that leaves TLC though as I assume they are main stage and would want a decentish slot (and crowded house must be nailed for that pre-camilla slot

yep, you’re right.  They dropped an act each day from the pyramid last year and it’s thrown me!

Interesting, see I’d say most you highlighted aren’t pop but my mate who is coming too would 100% agree with you.

I had TLC down as a West Holts header but lots disagreed.

I know I’ve put Lewis Capaldi down in my predictions but I’m far from certain he’ll actually be there.

I think it just all looks very similar, a lot of solo artists, mostly similar genres/fan bases.

Dates have been moved to early June. Make it less or more likely?

Who knows? The fact she announced it herself might make it more likely as she was obviously excited to do it. Really do hope she does and that she doesn't clash because she does have a terrific voice.

Really wouldn’t take her comments as a self-confirmation, especially not an excited one. Besides, the poster dropped without her on it so that’s strong evidence she wasn’t/isn’t playing.

There’s a space in her dates for her to do it while she’s in mainland Europe but I don’t think anyone should pin their hopes on this happening.

You can hope by all means! Just expectations could be lowered here, and it'd be sweeter for you if she does and less disappointing if she doesn't. ;)

To be fair with clashes etc I often have people who I say are must see before Glastonbury that I don't end up seeing! Although looking at the cost of the tickets for her tour Glastonbury is the only chance I would get unless I win the lottery!

    • Wow, way to insult the guy.
    • yougov seems to be the outlier when it comes to the Burnham bounce. But also, being a bounce, it was never going to last, but with Reform maybe on the way down, and Tories holding steady, we could end up with Reform, Labour and Tories all between 20 and 25% for a while. A lot of it at moment with Burnham is vibes, and the vibes are currently sexy and are pulling support back from Greens, but the autumn budget is key...will they go big and bold, or will they do very little because they're thinking a 2027 general election?
    • Attended a gig at Piece Hall for the first time on Saturday (Opeth), the music was excellent. Just a couple of points on the organisation & the event itself. - Getting through the gates seemed to take longer than required. I was at the South gate about 30 mins before stated start time and still missed first half of Katatonia. - Coffee stall was serving cold coffee later on. - Lots of the crowd seemed to be more interested in chatting than listening to the music. Doubly annoying when sound levels for Opeth seemed quieter than Paradise Lost, is this usual for the venue due to curfew etc? Luckily there was enough room so I could move close to the front of the crowd and couldn't hear drunken chatter anymore 🙂
    • Tickets will just be sent out via email; going out next Monday 10th August apparently.
