Park runners .....

Any keen park runners fancying a quick 5k livener on the sat morning if at all possible ? Maybe just around the car park ?? A livener !!

Haha! I'm stinky enough at a festival, without getting all sweaty on a run. As much as I will miss a good Saturday wakener, I think I'll give it a miss.

Nearest parkrun is 8 miles away at Blandford Forum. I suspect there will be a few (including myself) escaping festival site for a couple of hours.

See this does sound stupidly tempting, I just really don't want to have to bother with using the showers afterwards and carting running gear to the festival with me. I'm in two minds!

In 2015 I was training for the Berlin marathon when End of the Road was happening and I somehow managed to get up early squeeze in a 19 mile run on the Saturday morning!  It was actually a really great run, through the local villages and some woodland, then back to camp, quick shower, a bacon butty and a bloody mary ?

The near by park run is out of the question as I’m coming from afar in the train but a local village jog could be v tempting . I’m staying in a tee pee so showers not a problem

I'd probably be up for a run, if not actually visiting the BF Parkrun. It's a beautiful site, I'm sure we could do something nicer than a few laps of the car park - I'll fire up google earth later and see if I can plan a route!

One of our party has, for the last few years, disapppeared off into Blanford to do the Park Run on the Saturday morning. Comes back feeling all righteous and virtuous to find we've been on the Bloody Marys/pints of fizzy lager since before breakfast and are frankly, giggling like idiots at anything and everything. He's always slightly disappointed at our lack of reverence/admiration for his efforts. Fair play to him though.

I was also training for  Berlin in 2015, but at Green Man Festival and I did a hilly 20 miles early on the Sunday morning. Was not fun dragging my arse out of the tent for that one.

Well three of us made it out and blew the cobwebs away!

We managed a nice route around the car parks and camping fields. I was thinking of getting in touch with EOTR before next years festival and see if we can sort out something more official.
