dentalplan
Peej and Sleaford Mods avoiding clashing is cool. At a guess, would it be more likely that Sleaford Mods finish before or start after?
radioahed
Has anyone got recommendations for bands I should be checking out early on in the day on any of the stages?

I certainly remember seeing headliners in the Far Out tent and people joining me for a few songs at the end after seeing the main stage headliners. I've adjusted the clashfinder accordingly, and it helps Sleaford Mods as a lot of people looked to be choosing Polly in their highlights. I saw LTE at South Bank last year so might leave it at that. There were a couple of messages saying the clash might not be too bad so fingers crossed. Probably gonna get shot down for this, but I've been listening to LTE and I'm not blown away at all.

Fionn Regan and Hurray for the Riff Raff are both very good. And Julia Jacklin. Edited May 5, 2017 by PresentlyTense
artbrut_architecture
Green Man have said there's no clash, maybe PJ has gone all Joanna Newsom at EOTR?! I doubt it... LTE is an acquired taste, I can't imagine my wife enjoying it all that much hence another reason that I'll probably see Angel Olsen. I agree with @presentlytense for Fionn Regan, Julia Jacklin and HFTRR (my album of the year so far). I like DD Dumbo, Adam Torres and Grumbling Fur as well. PresentlyTense
HFTRR is my album of the year so far, too. We talk about it on the latest episode of my podcast, if anyone's at all interested in that kind of thing: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/picky-bastards/e/50000126?autoplay=true

electronicfreq
Does anyone know when the set times are known? My first Green Man so I'm not sure on the order of things, is this a case of getting an idea of timing when we are onsite?

The last couple of years, we only gotten the set times in the week of the festival from one of the settlers (people who pay to go from Monday onwards), so maybe not until the Tuesday or Wednesday of the festival week. electronicfreq
Ok, great, thanks. For me, potential overlapping clash I can see is getting from Angel Olsen to Future Islands.

Although please don't, I'd like some room. And it looks as though they both clash with Pumarosa, who everybody should also see........ timeforheroes
Will it not be Thee Oh Sees during Ryan Adams and Jon Hopkins DJ after that and before Daniel Avery? Don't see a DJ set headlining Far Out personally.

We're only two episodes in though, and still finding our feet, so go easy. Doing a Green Man special next episode.

artbrut_architecture
@PresentlyTense No Worries I'm sure they'll be interesting to listen too. I saw Pumarosa at Visions Festival last year and enjoyed them; Priestess is a great song. Kate Tempest wins out for never seeing her though. Definitely another vote for HFTRR and I would add Warhaus (have a listen to Machinery) and Nadia Read. There is so much good stuff though and it's worth following their playlist if you use Spotify. The60ftOctopus
Checked out HFTRR's latest album. Not heard of them before and really loved it. Just what I needed after a long week back at work. I've kept missing The Big Moon though for various reasons so hopefully those two won't clash.

I love them. just youtube: shame - gold hole or the lick and yeah, fionn regan is brilliant. the song "be good or be gone" is well-known, but the new album is wonderful as well. PresentlyTense
I saw SHAME in Salford last weekend. Not my kind of music usually, but one hell of a live show. Well worth a watch.
radioahed
Thanks for the suggestions. Really like Shame and Julia Jacklin, I'm sure JJ has had a bit of 6music play I recognize a couple of tracks off her album. next on my listening will be HFTRR. PresentlyTense
Have spent a bit of time going through the line-up this weekend. Can also recommend Laura Gibson and Adam Torres.
electronicfreq
I'd also recommend Laura Gibson, the latest album is great and was good live at eotr last year. Friday evening in the walled garden looks good.
