Same here. There was absolutely nothing of interest on John Peel this year. I usually watch a couple of acts in there. Bat For Lashes was the only one I would go for but yet again she clashed with someone else. Didn't even get round to exploring that new area this year.

I reckon I spent more time at Other than I ever have in the past, and the sound was terrific. I thinik it was also the first year that they had a pair of sound booths there, like they have on the Pyramid? That probably helps the setting up for the next band a bit as well. Only sound I was disappointed with was at Avalon, with KT Tunstall, where the balance didn't settle down for several songs and we were about three in before you could really hear the drums.

Very glad if others are reporting the Acoustic to be improved as that's my bug-bear normally. I only saw Roxanne there and she sounded great, but just voice, acoustic gtr and bass, so you'd have to be asleep for that not to work!

Glade sound was incredible - lowest bass I've ever heard at an outside gig. But that did mean there was no escaping those long bass soundwaves for miles all around! Even my cider was still rippling after a 5 min walk away from the area :-0

I thought the sound on the Park stage was brilliant. Saw Car Seat Headrest, Hinds, Savages and Nightbeats and was mightily impressed every time. 

This year was my Glastonbury debut and The Park stage, and area in general actually, was definitely my favourite.

Hi Orgazoid - I think it depended on the band at the Park - agree the sound worked well for 'rockier' bands - I thought it was fine myself for Car Seat Headrest, Kurt Vile.  But for some of those bands with a more 'delicate' vocalist / sound it was a bit too dominant for me.  I could barely hear the vocals on some numbers

I was right on the barrier for Mercury Rev, it was so loud I had to fashion ear plugs from rizlas.

Their sound was in and out.

Suppose if it's loud enough then that shouldn't matter though.

I thought blossoms struggled sound wise - mix on some of the songs didn't sound quite right especially at most a kiss. Might've just been their own issues not the stage, every other band I've seen on there has sounded great. Catfish and Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott sounded perfect. 

Definitely a stage befitting the second biggest stage at the best festival in the world now!!

Yep, other stage is much better than it was. Used to dread seeing people on there but now it is great.

I don't recall the Other stage sound being bad however this year it was noticeably better than the Pyramid. Will the Pyramid ever turn up???

Only sound issue I noticed over the weekend was watching Floating Points at The Park. We stood half way between the sound tent and stage and the bass just drowned everything out, it wasn't good bass either, just muddy. Eventually we moved back towards the tent and it improved drastically; we could actually hear the other instruments on stage and it sounded great. Sad to have missed the first half.

Apart from that the sound across the weekend was phenomenal. LCD sound blew me away.

I did that as well.  In fact, the exact same mistake I made during Arcade Fire - stand too close, get grumpy about the bass and as I leave during the last song, realise it sounds fine if I stand further back.

Was far too much with Floating Points, I couldn't hear the strings at all and could barely hear the brass/woodwind.
