Imagine that there was so much gear around that the dog was overwhelmed so just took to barking indiscriminately. "I can't work in these conditions FFS!"

Having been caught with stuff in my wallet by a dog at V festival I must have been very unlucky!

Through the urethral opening

If your stash is small enough to be plugged, it'll be small enough to be resting down in your grundies next to your meat and 2 veg. Alls you need are a pair of underpants that are similar to Y-Fronts or the new type of tight boxers that are the fashion these days. You could even have a pouch which is tied to your underpants-fly. Less agro than plugging.

If you're worried about getting strip searched... then if they're gonna go that far, they'll also ask you to squat.

Be polite and courteous with the security and you shouldn't have any problems. :)

Plugged?! All these technical terms are quite baffling!!

I'm a bit (quite) scared of dogs, they always make me nervous when I see them whcih I'm sure makes it worse!

I didn't see any dogs at all last year.

In fact I've only seen one single dog at all the festivals I've been to, and he was barking his nut off at everyone so wasn't much use. Pretty sure they're just a police scare tactic.

Seen em twice, they've worked twice!

I see them again ill be using that there bin for honest people :/

They usually do, and Paddington if you're coming from London.

Getting a bit paranoid about this, only have to get from London to Reading for the coach. Already planning to use a station other than Paddington but still worried. The festival gates don't worry me at all, it's the train stations and coach

I do believe you can get to Reading via Waterloo/Clapham Jcn. :)

There is no need to get nervous. At some festivals they make an effort to search EVERY person on the way in. Glastonbury seem to have one table per queue (where you split at the gate), and search one person at a time, whenever the table is free. You probably get 30/40/50 people walking through for every search (or at least early on Wednesday when I go through).

The website Glastonburypolice.co.uk gives an interesting insight into how the festival is policed, and the work that they do, I'm just hoping for a safe and enjoyable festival for all.

Every year I've been the Police have been fantastic. They know its best to let the contained party be self regulated by the festival teams. They often look to be having as much fun as the punters!

Have people been striped at Glasto?

I balls it too, i bung it it down the from of my boxers every year. They even asked me to empty my pockets but then no one checked if I'd left anything in my pocket. ive been searched twice, it's not bad at all, they may find something if they go though your bag.

Has anyone actually ever seen old bill and sniffer dogs on an entrance gate checking people - I thought this was a myth!

Not once.  I have seen them at Reading train station on entry days at Reading festival only.  Never seen dogs apart from that at more than a dozen festivals.  The only time I've seen police at the gates at Glastonbury they were just passing through.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
