One thing that's occurred to my ever practical husband is whether they will float like balloons. I want to tie one to my caravan. Could you experiment with one @morph100 when they arrive? I can't imagine helium is an option!

I think helium may be out as an option so it could be a case of securely fastening feet to the roof of the caravan being careful not to cut off the blood flow, we don't want to harm any of our pink friends :-)

Love this idea! I took an inflatable dolphin and killer whale a few years ago and from past experience, sadly helium isn't enough to lift things like the flamingos. For their capacity, they're a lot heavier than ordinary balloons. Also, depending how well sealed the seams are may mean helium leaks out quicker than air would.

I'll be there for the first two for sure (Not trying to be greedy and bag two flamingos...). Can't wait for Tuesday Hill of Death

I'm aiming for all four but you know how it goes......if i cant make any but am passing earlier in the day I may drop some off with a responsible adult to distribute :-)

Have a photo of me to prove my flamingo love and also it highlights how I am not a responsible adult.

Despite telling myself that I would not do anymore pre Glastonbury spending I have just donated to the fund.  I think it is a great idea and I'll enjoy (hopefully) spotting them around the site and thinking I helped a little bit.

I hope there is somewhere people can post photos of themselves with their flamingos.

Thank you! the Flamingos appreciate it greatly and will smile at you as they see you. I'm hoping that people will post pics on here and social media with the hashtag #glastoflamingo Try to catch me at one of the distribution points to claim a few to spread the cheer!

Will do, thank you. I'm intending to make the Wednesday meet, assuming I don't chicken out.  I've had a kind offer from  @Curlygirl to meet beforehand if needed.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
