My 4000th post

Recommended Posts

I've been around here for a while. I've had some absolutely classic responses to some of my posts, and I thank you collectively for that. I have laughed hard and despaired here. I hope I made some of you smile too.

While I was typing this my ticket arrived, which is appropriate.

You may know this year will be my 30 somthing'th Glastonbury, I've honestly lost count but cumulatively, I was 16 in 1981 and I'm 51 now, and I've only ever missed three Glastonburys so I've clocked up getting on for six months of my life those fields.

So this thread will contain my 4000th post, it is something special, though if you have been around here a while you may have seen and heard it before, its worth another watch.

I've posted Hot Chip, Jessie J, Neil Young. Real House music, Reggae, the Elusive Chanteuses and all manner random folly, all good for somebody somewhere, so many delicious discoveries for me here too.

Before that, here are some dead guys talking

You know, some of those car crash posts annoy me when I read them back, but thanks, there are hopfully some diamonds back there too.

You're an odd fellow Bamber, but keep doing what you do.

I am an odd fellow, but you choose to call yourself Hugh Jass so, well, you know.

Keep up the good work Bamber me old nugget, I like the videos, the drunken 4am posts and never being sure if your a man or a lady.  Oh, I also like the occasional impassioned left wing political rant, which I nod agreement with every time.

    • Yeah, shambles if so.   Also a shame for the festival if it's that rather than money.    Sure more will come out in due course. I was (and still am) hoping she'd do it, selfishly.
    • Interesting that'd be the reason - given that there were reports citing that as the reason a few years ago as well.   You'd think that they (meaning both sides) would learn..
    • I gather the later you arrive the further away from the entrance to the festival you are?
    • Hope they skip the fireworks and the burning of the man this year tbh, seemed dodgy last year with all the reports of embers and this year is drier. Don't want to be a killjoy but it's only a big bonfire at the end of the day.    May also need extra care with BBQ and gas stoves etc, always worries me slightly in the campervan field where vans are very very close together!    Not had campervan pass in the mail yet either.   Looking forward to the beer festival and enjoying a few pints while taking in some mellow tunes in the walled garden if the sun carries on shining like this 😎
    • Haha yeah maybe not the best comparison as Gavin seems a good lad. It was to express how he's usually spot-on with his information
