There will be no great headliner on Thursday.  Even if the National will play on Sunday (which I seriously doubt) it wont be in a coheadliner structure so they wont play 90 minutes set. You can see in the RW site (lineup->all)  that the top 2 acts on Sunday are Florence and M&L while Ellie Goulding is the only one there on the friday.

That depresses me

But on the Facebook banner Ellie Goulding is in a smaller font than Florence, RHCP, Editors and Rammstein. I'm confident there will still be an act in between Ellie Goulding and Disclosure. Not in the least because based on recent ticket sales EG + Disclosure would make a much weaker duo than Florence + Macklemore, and that on the weekday that struggles most often with ticket sales.

I agree with you.  What I said is that we only missing one headliner, which is the Thursday headliner.  On Sunday there wont be any headliner before or after FATM.

Muse last year to Flo this year as closing act . It's like shopping at Waitrose to begging on a street corner

Not as simple as that, depends how they compare in belguim. Saying that headliners of Editors, Rammstein, RHCP and florence is not going to get your juices going if you are from then UK. I would pay for just the editors if they were doing a tour, then again it would be pretty much every date. ;)

I remember to have seen in early January a declaration of Mick Jagger, saying he was coming to Europe after the Latin American tour; did anyone see it too ? Have a link ? -- If it's truth, Rolling Stones would be a perfect unexpected Thursday headliner... (Probability 2%)

I am sorry I meant there will be no great Sunday headliner. I only noticed the mistake now. What I meant is:

Thursday headliner is missing for  sure while NO additional  headliner on Sunday.

My first time at RW this year since moving from the UK... If the clashfinder is correct it will be an amazing festival! I'm sure it will even appease the unhappy!

The clashfinder is not correct ;) It's realistic because these bands are not ruled out, but it's not official.

We can completely rule out Tool now, since Puscifer announced a festival date for June a few days ago. Even if Tool was already highly unrealistic.

Radiohead for Lollapalooza Berlin...fuck!!!! Now I expect them for Rock Werchter!!!

There's more chance to see them added on lineup imho.

Its make them likely to late summer festivals too. There's a chance they're at PKP instead.

They're in Japan during Pukkelpop weekend. If they do a Belgian festival, RW is the only option.

Paul McCartney confirmed to be the last Pinkpop headliner. Pinkpop is revealing the rest of their lineup on Wednesday and starting their ticket sales on Saturday. Since that festival is a big rival of Rock Werchter, I have a gut feeling that there will be some showing off in Friday's announcement.

    • I thought some time back that I could see Get Down Services getting a slot in Woodsies
    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
    • Loads of people have to listen to music they don't like all day, while at work!   Not much different.
    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
