It looks broadly similar to last years :)

Soul on Wheels last year seems to have changed into Bulmers Something or other?

Is there a second Real Ale tent over near the woodlands? I'm sturggling to read some of the text.

It says "Bulmers Colourena" and "Holy Grail Ale" so I'm assuming they're both drinking areas Edited by MickL

Are we thinking the main stage is in the exact same spot?

Thought they might have tried to get a bit more room for the extra numbers. Difficult with the trees of course but thought looking ahead to even bigger numbers they might of had to adjust things a bit.

Could get pretty busy for the headliners but hard to tell the layout with these artist impression thingys.

Not much seems to have changed in the arena other than the kids and riot jazz swapping places and the area next to the main stage opening out to the jaegar stage area. Maybe a few other tweaks but not much

That whole bit to the right of the main stage (if you were stood on the stage!) is new there isnt it?

Riot Jazz was over to the left.

I kinda think the main stage has moved backwards a bit (the Jagermeister Cube has gone elsewhere and that bit behind looks a little smaller - or maybe Im making it up!!

The Cinema and the Jagerhaus look like they are where the Calling Out stage was in 2011?

I love festival site maps!!!

Hiya

Now we have a map and i can get more excited....where are we allowed to camp? anywhere or do we get allocated areas?

My party are in their 30's and want life but not teenagers going wild so going from previous advice am i right in thinking the kids will head for Wolf Woods?

Does that then mean I'm going to better in Great Holmes or have i got it wrong? I know people have said turn left after the entrance for the type of camping i want. We have passes to the village green too

Any advice welcome! Getting excited now and starting to get my stuff together!

xx

P.S Sorry i posted this in the wrong place, thought i was in the questions, durr

IbizaP, yep Wolf Woods will suit you all fine. The flat map doesn't do the place justice but as you've been advised, through the main gates, down the hill and turn left, find a decent scrap of field big/comfy enough for you all and you'll be very happy campers! #seeyouinthefields

Thats Great Holmes (the names are pretty much not used once on site!) We camped pretty much the same aspot for four year without issue!

Avoid the area to the right once you walk in!

I am a first timer.. how far is the walk with all your stuff from car to the nearest campsite??

having been BROKEN after a 90 minute trek at glastonbury this is one of our concerns!!

depending when you arrive (you park further away if you arrive later) - it could be as little as 100 metres!

Must admit I couldn't see quiet camping on there, It was where family camping is this year. You'll find that the shire will be a peaceful area to head to if they've not got quiet this year. It's far enough from the arena to put the party animals off.

Is it just me or does the camping configuration look weird this year? Appreciate its segregated but why have the loudest camping area next to Deer Lodge and why have the Deer Lodge a much further walk away than normal Emperors Fields?

Also, who gets access to the Village Green?

In my head the campings the same as it was last year

The maps have always been a bit unproportional and looked a bit weird

yep I don't see a great deal (any!) difference, there is also the major road separating Deer Lodge from the teenage marsh pit that doesn't seem to be on there? Also is there really a forest between the Great Holmes and The Shire? that's sprung up quick!

The village green is open to everyone, it's basically a set of shops and a bar outside of the arena that's open longer hours. The main arena is normally off limits from around 4am until about noon so the food stalls and general store provide the stuff you'll need when there's nowhere else available

I didn't even see the bar! Was it next to the food or elsewhere? I was mainly trying not to fall over in the mud though as that path was horrible.

The Deer Lodge has doubled in size (on the map anyway) towards the NW (taking up as north) I think it has "stolen" Quiet Camping from last year

and yes, some of the other stages have moved around

can't bloody wait me!!

Hmmmm, there used to be a bar there cos it's where we used to have the meet ups on the thursday night when the arena wasn't open. I'll check an see if it's still there

I definitely saw one in 2012 but either didnt notice it last year or ignored it (as the drink selection of cans and kopperberg was so bad anyway!). If they serve cold pints that'll be good!
