They clash with the levelers by the looks of things....unless the stages have different start times. Which is  a shame as there are probably the 2 bands i want to see most on the lineup

Stages do have different times - well they did last year. You could watch Pallet headliner and then woodland headliner for example.

Well obviously

Well, that implies you're feeling better now!!

Afternoon all, busy at work, and strangely not knowing what to say after the news today. Been a week of significant dates for me which adds to it, but it feels false to feel shocked when I've not listened to DB for a good while...

Evening folks. For some reason swearing very loudly and repeatedly at the dishwasher hasn't fixed it. I was going to try again but a bottle of beer and a Joe Jackson LP called me over for a chat. Tomorrow, the power of YouTube, and "work, you fucker" will prevail, as I try to find, then drain the inlet thingummy.

Accordingly, it is NFFFFFFFR NFFFFFFFC.

Have you tried turning it on and off???

Been playing Bowie most of the day here, it's been emotional.

Yep, me too, and same here! As gumby jr was having his dinner, I put on the 6 o'clock news, and at one point I started to wobble, a little tear ran down my cheek. Gumby jr noticed, stroked my arm and leaned over to cuddle me saying 'it'll be okay daddy, I love you really much'. I haven't cried like that in front of him since he was born!

That's fantastic, Guy. He's an artist who will go on for many generations yet.

Evening everyone.

A sad day indeed, though fitting that such a showman should stage his mortal-coils-shuffling with the same drama and showmanship as the rest of his remarkable career. I've never been a 'close' fan of Bowie, in that I would never really 'put some Bowie on'. However, listening to the radio today, both 6Music and 5Live, I couldn't believe not how many great songs he wrote (I pretty much knew that), but just how many of his songs I had in my mental musical library as great songs. For me, what places him apart from so many artists is his incredible use of atypical, unexpected chord progressions. It was in real contrast to most of his contemporaries, throughout his various incarnations. For example, I really love playing Life on Mars on the ukulele, but MAN, are those chord progressions complex and bloody tricky...and yet so beautiful. A true legend of popular music has gone.

I feel slightly awkward posting my 'Run BennyBoy Run' blog today, but will do so with a doff of the cap to the late David Jones Esq.

Today's session:  Track repeats - warm up > 4 x 800m, each at 2m51s > warm down

Impression:  Felt pretty good today, if hard. Managed to get all the 800m within 1-2 seconds of each other - which is the point.

Hope all having a good evening and thinking fond thoughts of the great man.

Ben

So ive looked into  bearded theory travel options and it seems as if its do-able at a price i find reasonable

If i catch a bus to penrith early, i can catch a train to preston and then jump on one of the designated coaches to the festival site

So i think i've my 2nd festival of the season pencilled.
