Glastonbury sore throat

I got ill with a cold on Tuesday and still suffering now.

I woke up with the sore throat Sunday then got progressively worse into fully blown glasto-flu. Been hard sleeping being so hot and dry, keep coughing. At this rate I might be better for Latitude!

Suddenly developed flu like symptoms on Thursday morning, sore throat, aching all over etc etc, unsure if it's glasto related

Got home and on Tuesday lunch while checking the surf started feeling odd. By the evening felt I'll. Wednesday developed cough which got worse to the point I could hardly breathe, temperature too. Been hacking up green jellyfish since though can breathe better this morning I still feel poorly.

Went into work on Thursday, lasted 2 hours, went home via the walk in clinic to discover I have a bad chest infection. Antibiotics and an inhaler for a week it is then.....

Glad to hear I'm not the only one suffering, first time I've had a post-festi cold in years.

 

Could barely talk in work on Wednesday, then was completely drained of energy and blowing my nose all day Thursday. Been a slow improvement from there.

Glad I'm not the only one! Felt like shit for the last week, had a really bad cough and cold.  Starting a new job tomorrow so hoping another night of medicine will help!

My throat is in bits, considering a G&T to sterilise it / numb the pain. Thankfully I've been relatively mute today.

Sore throat all week, temperature on Wednesday . Sang at spandau ballet charity gig last night and just squeaking today, voice is all but gone

Mind you this is nothing. After the hot glasto I lost my voice for nearly 6 weeks .... All is good :-)

mostly better now. honey and milk was wonderful, some chesty cough syrup (guafensine) helped ease the thick junk at the end

alcohol when you've got a cold really sets you back, lasted until yesterday

Yes, I got this too. Turned into a slight tickly cough, then had gone by Friday. Felt under the weather most of last week (wonder why....?), but fully recovered now

I've got something , voice still not back properly , and feel so bunged up . I didn't even hammer it this year, wish I had as it may have pickled the germs

Usually lose most of my voice by about the Friday. The place is so loud & constantly talking at nearly shout level for a few days destroys my throat

& the smoking probably doesn't help

So this has developed interestingly.

My cold basically went then my lungs started aching yesterday - got kinda painful last night then very painful by this morning. Nasty sore rough sensation all over the outsides

Went to the docs they reckon while I've got over the virus my immune system is still raging like mad resulting in some kinda allergic response pleurisy type reaction. Lots of anti-inflammatory meds and off to the hospital for an ECG - exciting!

Beats 'sore throat from plastic/rubbish fires' - bring back the old days.

After a trip to the docs, turns out mine has also developed from a sore throat to both tonsillitis and a chest infection. Dangerously close to my work sick day allowance so battling through feeling utterly rotten. Bizarrely it's exactly what happened to me last year too.
