Coming down with a cold

I've got the beginnings of a cold coming on; headache & sore throat. Any suggestions on how to stop it in its tracks?

Go and buy some first defence from the chemist, use it twice as much as it tells you to. I've been using this for about 5 years at the first sign of a cold and haven't had a full blown one in that time, def worth a try, good luck!

I'll definitely give first defence a go Ms Muck. Drinking plenty of water, saline drops in nose, Tea Tree stem inhalations & honey for the throat. Pissed off big time!

Let the cold come, take paracetamol and plenty of fluids and be thankful that you'll be over it in time for the festival, coming down with it a few days later would be rough!

I've had cold for about a week now, I just have a big dose of man the fuck up each morning.

Coughing and sneezing since monday, no biggie, will be done by the time the festival comes around.  I reckon my son brought it back from IoW, came on within hours of his return.

 

I work in a call centre and this is my 5th cold this year, never known a place like it.  I reckon the air conditioning ducts are like the primordial earth and if we shipped them to mars we could terraform the place.

Sweating it out is my standard approach too. Seems to help.
