I posted this last night in the 'Thingy' thread:

The secret resale was at 3pm on 18th May last year, general admission only (no coach packages). Final refund date was 8th May.

2014 - 12th May c. 2:10pm Coach sale. 14th May Flash sale c. 1:14pm (Coach) followed by a full sale (general) c. 2:10pm. Refund deadline 9th May.

2013 - c. 1pm on both 7th (coaches) and 8th (general). Final refund date 3rd May.

So assuming 2015 there was a cock up with refunds, it could POSSIBLY be today.

There was a resale in 2013. I got them that year, it was on both a Tuesday and Wednesday

Personally speaking, I'm arranging my day to leave this lunchtime as free as possible!

interesting that there was a flash sale one hour before the main sale in 2014. It was a flash sale on Monday so I'm guessing they're good to go now.

Ok, sorry panic over!!! I think this was a false alarm as I've just logged onto wifi on the train and so I think my monitor just went off cos of that....

I certainly hope so. I wasn't getting psyched up for today but after reading that I am a little!

Will it depend on what other sales See have on? They will still need to free up enough server capacity to cope.

Partly asked and answered. Unless there's something massive going on sale this week (see a page or two ago) there shouldn't be any problem with server capacity.
The secret sales shouldn't (...) attract anywhere near the amount of traffic the general sale/resale does, and so there shouldn't be a need to take extra measures re server capacity. If the popularity of the secret sales continues though, that could change I guess

Morning all!

I managed to break a rib last night which really ruddy hurts BUT I now get to be at home all day. Winning. Quite an extreme way to skive work, but hey, if it works, I'm all for it. :P

Sympathy vote please Glastonbury ticketing gods??

I'm with you on the at home on bed rest detail! Pain sucks but it could be useful being home on a day such as this.

See tickets will however, not put this up against another major event, hence my original request for info. When we get a major event over here, everything  just shuts down !! ACDC-tickets put the country into internet melt down !

Incidentally, if I remember correctly in 2014 the Thursday coach tickets went up a few minutes before the Wednesday ones - something that you may want to bear in mind if you're considering buying them.

I did notice in Monday's flash sale the coach links appeared before the general link, so it's something that maybe repeated. The question is, do you hold off for the tickets you'd really like or go for whatever is available to just get yourself through the gates in June???

I don't know... If problems caused the resale to be delayed last year it may potentially have meant to be on the Wednesday. That's an awful lot of resales on a Wednesday for "no pattern".

    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
