BreckRoad
Does anybody know what the crack is with Thursday. This will be my first time down so Im unclear... I've bought my full weekend ticket but will I need to buy an additional Thursday ticket to see James? Cheers
stuwilky
Yeah, you need a Thursday entry ticket as well. Think it was 15 extra last year - but then fees and charges etc
BreckRoad
Yeah, you need a Thursday entry ticket as well. Think it was 15 extra last year - but then fees and charges etc Ahh okay. I should be able to sort that tomorrow right? Any ideas if they have sold out or not? Or am I right in thinking there is as many Thursday tickets available as weekend tickets?
Comfy Bean
I expect that I am wrong here but if they are now pushing KC as a 4 day festival with 4 nights of headliners then will the Thursday not be included ? In theory, you could still look to arrive a day early as before ( but now on the Wednesday ) and they could be charging extra for that. I never agreed with paying extra to arrive the day before the " official " start day anyway but I`m miserable that way I don`t think any other festivals I`ve been to charge for early arrival and some have people arriving days before the main stages start. eastynh
We could do with some clarification in regards to the Thursday.
RossendaleR
I've already got a Thursday ticket so will they let me in on Wednesday?
stuwilky
We could do with some clarification in regards to the Thursday. They've been selling Thursday entry tickets since November.
LOCHLAND5
Your normal ticket covers you for Friday to Sunday . You pay extra for Thursday , the main stage can not open until 5:30 . There will be no Wednesday entry . If you wanna see james pay the extra for Thursday . Hope that makes sense

ramragon
Would guess they'll advertise and push them tomorrow. Thursday tickets although usually advertised as limited never seem to sell out, although if James are playing this year the demand will be massive for them. Thursdays gonna be mental trying to get in, can see the locals putting up with some shite !
Pooly JP
Only been the last two years but can't help but feel they are trying to expand the festival to quickly. Been the Thursday both times and had no problem getting in with barely any queues or problems. Can see this year being absolutely bouncing on the Thursday and the demand for tickets tomorrow high. Really hope this expansion to 4 days doesn't spoil what has been a thoroughly enjoyable festival these last two years.
Al Wallace
Kendal was my first time last year but the line up was absolutely awful. Happy to gamble with a far superior line up at risk of spoiling it personally, but that's just me and i see how those who have been more often than me might feel differently
BreckRoad
Just need to know how I go about upgrading my ticket to include the Thursday then. Gotta see James. Hopefully it's simple enough when the rest of the tickets go back on sale tomorrow

Comfy Bean
http://www.ticketarena.co.uk/events/Kendal-Calling-2015/index.htmlSo I was wrong about Thursday being "free". My predictions really are shite! Looks like they are charging this year for the weans plus a further charge for them to get in on Thursday. They don't even like James :-( Edited February 16, 2015 by comfortablynumb1910
Pooly JP
http://www.ticketarena.co.uk/events/Kendal-Calling-2015/index.html Notice that the link is showing tier 4 tickets going on sale rather than tier 3 which the Kendal website was advertising going on sale soon. Pooly JP
Price up to £27.50 for the Thursday entry ticket.

Just bought tier 3 Pooly. £130 instead of £135 but doubt they will last long. £8.50 booking fee per ticket and Thursday now £25 plus fee and no more freebies for 5-10`s. Now £ 15 plus fee. Pooly JP
Think i paid £10 last year they then went to £15 when they announced Craig Charles was playing. Increase in all tickets plus adding in the charge for the 6 year old certainly ups the cost of this years tickets to last years. Guess thats the price for percieved progress. InMuseWorld
Was excited about the potential prospect of going back to Kendal again after a couple of years, after seeing this years line up but the whole charging 30+ quid incl. fees on top of a full priced weekend ticket is putting me off... Also think it could lead to James playing to a half empty field.... I can also see it bring a race against time for all campers arriving on the Thursday.... For them to actually fight the traffic, get pitched and get to the arena on time.... Surely combined thurs-sun wknd package at say £150 with a £10 weds early entry ticket would be more ideal... With a small upgrade package available for those early birds.... :/
stuwilky
The fees have always been expensive for Kendal - its a proper pet hate of mine. £400 for me and her, inc fees, Thursday Entry and Parking.
ramragon
Thursday was £15 last yr from what I remember, tenner the years before
