Those weak subs that are weak because of the lower day ticket prices but stronger than last year's when the day ticket prices were higher.

So Bring Me the Horizon?

Is that a balls sub or just a fucking shit booking?

Don't get how Kendrick is weak. Had a decent slot at T a couple of years ago and is one of the biggest hip hop stars on the planet, and is headlining Wireless and most other festivals he does. You were the only one expressing surprise at people predicting him to sub.

I think the BMTH booking woulda been justified by an album coming out this summer but it doesn't seem that way. 5th to sub in two years without a new album and - while gaining a fair bit of popularity - not exactly setting the world alight deserves to be scrutinised probably more than Buggy or Macklemore.

Decent slot? Got the same slot as The Darkness the year before. And as far as being a big hip hop star, aye he's critically acclaimed, and he's bloody good, but in the mainstream he's pretty much a nobody. There's probably bands billed lower and in the tent that are bigger than him.

I'm not surprised he's a sub. But that doesn't mean I think he should be. Just goes to show how idiotic booking is. Wait and see him pull the smallest main stage crowd of the weekend.

No. 1 album not mainstream success then?

Time in the charts has always been more telling. Just weeks later it wasn't in the top 40 and hasn't been since. The rush to get albums when it comes out is always there.

Hell, Florence and the Machine are enjoying a 178th week in the charts for the debut.

Kendrick only dropped out of the top 40 two weeks ago and is still in the top 100 charts that Flo was hovering around in.

I think if BMTH have an album recorded and a release date announced before the festival, that would make their high booking much easier to swallow for those who are doubting them as a sub. I fully expect them to play at least one song from the upcoming album as well as Drown at R&L.

Overall I think that the three subs we have this year are strong enough.

BMTH being sub just doesn't make sense - especially when you consider that all time low - who have arguably had more success than bmth are 4th down. And last year YM@6, who have also had more success than BMTH were 3rd.

But it is what it is and I personally think Bring Me are going to rock and do a pretty good job subbing

How long is it going to take to admit they eat these a weird way like with all food discussions.
