Isn't the NME meant to be headlined by a dance act to create a variety for everyone as it's most likely a rock band will be headlining main stage

2014 - Courteeners, Bombay Bicycle Club, Disclosure

2013 - Skrillex, Alt-J, Phoenix

2012 - The Maccabees, At the Drive-In, Justice

Etc.

But it's still not correct that the NME headliner will be a dance act to oppose a heavier Main Stage headliner. I'd guess there'll probably be one dance headliner on the NME.

With a three-day dance stage it'd be pointless for all NME headliners to be dance acts.

Really disappointed with them this year and i usually really enjoy them. Think they need to give Sonisphere a go next year or at least Download. Considering they fit in at Download very well they haven't really done it that much.

It was a weird one as they headlined the stage but they played before Iron Maiden, but then again the crowd for Shikari would be have been a bit sparse going against Maiden

I reckon Shikari may sub download next year. And sub reading 2016, especially if the Prodigy headline then.

Shikari prefer playing R&L though and I could see them taking a NME headline slot next year but I wouldn't put it past them to sub Download
