AC/DC have just announced a european tour. Berlin on the 25th June, Glasgow on the 28th. No dates planned for the 26th/27th........... Coincidence???? i say they will play Glastonbury and RW over those 2 days

According to Live Nation sources there won't be a Belgian date. Also there's always a 2 day gap in between those AC/DC dates, highly doubt they'll do 4 days in a row.

In other news: dEUS yesterday said that they'll do 'greatest hits' Summer shows.

Greatest Hits sommer shows? I only know one dEUS song, Suds & Soda....

SOAD don't do festivals this summer if I remember right,

Radiohead is unlikey too, because of the solo-project of Jonny Greenwood.

I would not bet that we will get another "big fish" like Coldplay after Muse and Foo Fighters. Could imagine that there are smaller names. Something like

FF - Chemical Brothers

dEUS - Netsky

30 stm - Pharrell Williams

Faith No More - Muse

I wouldn't like this constellation, but it's better than having KOL/Editors for the 51361th time! And with Damien & TWOB as tent-headliner I could go with it.

That would be one hell of a weak line up. dEUS is even questionable as a sub these days (I'd make them Barn headliner), same thing for 30STM (+ I don't think they'll tour next Summer).

I'm guessing we'll see coheadlining constructions, plenty of acts with new stuff: QOTSA, Jack White, Mumford & Sons, The xx, Snow Patrol, Lenny Kravitz, possibly The Strokes, ..

And what about RHCP? They've confirmed a new album for 2015, surely they'll do some festivals?

Some not unimportant information: On Thursday Music For Life, a big charity action by Studio Brussel, starts. Usually Werchter does not give any names while MFL is going on, because basically all media attention is taken up by that cause. And Winter vacation starts on Saturday, so no names then either.

This means that if we don't get any names tomorrow or Wednesday, we'll have to wait until the second week of January.

Hope we will get at least one more headliner! I'm not sure if there are enough combi-tickets when we get more names mid january. :/

Modest Mouse have just announced new album release. Hoping to see them at RW.

Hopefully they'll be there. I was bummed when they cancelled in 2013. If they'll come they probably take a low spot as they were scheduled to open the main stage in 2013.

JAMC, Ben Harper and Counting Crows from Bilbao bbk?

I know all of them are old school I but there was no official statement on the 'rejuvenated' thing.

Well they don't have to say that rejuvenated thing out loud, looking at recent line ups prove that they're aiming more and more at young crowds and fail to book a lot of older acts.

Anyway, JAMC doesn't suit the Werchter crowd imo, and Ben Harper sounds more likely for other Belgian fests. Can see Counting Crows play afternoon main stage though.

    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
