Apart from pyramid rigging going up, the toilet boxes are being assembled across site and mostly complete. The new Strummerville bar is being constructed but we didn't go up there, save that for next weekend. As Dee said, Permaculture is being built / planted by hordes of people and the two lovely Welshmen are carving the totem for the teepee field.

It will all get busier next week, the fence has not started yet but it normally gets underway after this bank holiday.

Now back to making pizza dough for later. Rock and roll!

Hello! Did I miss much? I've been at a choir thing, it was a bit naff but quite good fun. It's a new choir, mine is quite traditional with big choral works, this new one is more casual, with more contemporary songs. I'm not sure I'll join! Still, was a good day singing and I think I managed to recruit a new member for my choir, we are short of sopranos (I'm soprano) and I think she may join. So, woo for that!

Hope everyone is ok :)

Yeah i've ordered a new one off amazon, it'll be here in a few days, one advantage of having a fairly common phone is others have the same charger so got just lent that for a couple of hours to get me through tonight :)

Midges can ruin a holiday yog. I get bitten to hell and start feeling like I've been poisoned. I found a product called smidge which is really affective. I managed 5 days on the west coast without a bite. 6th day forgot to put it on before I went for a shower, stopped to chat for 5 minutes on the way, 37 bites across my back

Hey Babs, a tip I've followed for 17 years and it has never failed me... After 5 horrific bites on my face in Turkey I went to the local chemist. ( I looked like the elephant man ) The pharmacist told me to mix essential oils of lavender and lemongrass (4 drops of each in a tumbler, top it up with hot water and pour over me after bath/shower) the bathroom smells lovely and have never been bitten since. The drops were £8 each but lasted me 17 years! Just protect your fillangee as it can sting a little!!!

Thanks CG I've used lavender oil for years for all sorts of things. I'll give it a go with some lemongrass. Point duly noted on the flower lol xx

Like the photos! Getting excited now!!

Re pipes, how about a long clay curved pipe, or a Sherlock (meerschaum ?)

Re gumby photos, did he wax his stomach in that shot earlier? ?

Re midges, no moisture at Glastonbury, so no midges to be attracted onsite. ....

Evening all. Went for a walk with the three nonhumans this afternoon. Crikey it sprinkled on us. The gods spent about 40 minutes making their presence well and truly felt. As I was only wearing a fleece I took a hit for nfr NFC.

I was meaning advice for abroad. I've never been bitten at glasto...

I got bitten once at Glasto, but by a mate who was having one of those...difficult moments.

I don't think lemon juice and lavender would have stopped him, either.

    • but it is loyalists doing the rioting...so he can also make a point there.
    • I don’t know what was going on with SEE tickets for Phoebe Bridgers this morning.. I had a presale code, got into the sale after queuing for 15mins with the green bars of doom.. but no map to choose seats from, just categories like “aisle seat” and “reserved seat” and sometimes a drop down of the section, but you had no idea where in the section the seat was… then you clicked through and either got “no tickets available” or a captcha which just kept looping no matter how well you selected the thing it was asking you to identify.. then eventually it spat you out to another “not enough tickets available” message.. I went through that loop SO many times.. I was doing captchas endlessly.. it was totally borked.    in the end I went back to the email with the presale code in, it then directed me to ticketmaster rather than see, still for Manchester, and I could then see the tickets on the map .. get them in my basket etc ..but there was only upper tier left.. so going to try my luck on ticketmaster for the main sale.. SEE was total garbage!
    • For the 25th anniversary would be hopeful for  Pavement, Neutral Milk Hotel. Guided by Voices .  Modest Mouse.
    • Yeah we're in prime random announcements time so worth keeping an eye out for anything revealed
    • Wonder what that could be. Too early to announce Geese…
