It was something about foresters moaning because they have to pay 20p an hour to park in the council car park.....yes you heard me right 20p!! Should try around here at £2 an hour in some places

To understand you need to know the full details and I bet they didn't give them.

All car parks were free as our towns are very small with not a lot in them.

They introduced charges using the committee system in council where 5 people out vote 42 people.

Within 6 months trade in all towns had dropped by 40% and shops were going bust. The head of the committee refused to budge despite his self funding scheme losing money and businesses suffering.

He then made his home town, Mitcheldean, free again but not the rest!!

That is the very abridged version of 4 years worth.

So no it does not sound lots 20p but what it has done is mad especialy when the car parks just lose money.
