Top o de morning to ye all!

Dee, not sure if you have a homebargains near ye but I know the one in Liverpool sold those yummy biccies. But if not I'm sure I can smuggle some in my bags on the way over for ye. :D

Top of the Morning to everyone (good morning kidda`s),

HMV do you spend a lot of time in the Pool as i,ve noticed youve mentioned it a few times?

Home Bargains do still sell em but they always run out quite fast as there pure fitness. For Irish Goodies its the arl soda bread all day for me with a nice Irish stew (Scouse in my eyes). specially on cold miserable days like today. Mmmmmmm, i may do that for tea tonight now!

Bring on this shite weather and may it wear itself out for 8 weeks time!

NFR NFC BABY!

*Non relevant question*

Any smokers on here? Thinking of getting one of them robo-fags, wondering if anyones using / has tried them?

NFR NFC

Yes but haven't a clue what you're talking about. Imagining Robocop with a cigar.

Haha my play on words for these e-cigarette / vaporiser things. Anyone use them?

I am a part time smoker, generally only have a fag if I'm drinking or otherwise. So I get through quite a lot at festivals!! I've not tried the robofag, but I know people who do use it and it is good, apparently. The only thing is there is no research on how it effects you, however it must be better than loads of fags!

Are you thinking of it to have as well as proper smokes?

I am yes, I'd be a daily smoker of anywhere between 15 - 20 and that can nearly double as soon as I start drinking! I know that I will not give up fully - who doesnt like a smoke with a drink? But during the week I'd like to definitely cut down or find an alternative, tried it cold turkey about a year back and ended up replacing cigarettes with food ha!

Just putting the feelers out (finbarr!) if anyone's used these, I'm hearing somewhat mixed reviews but generally positive. And wouldn't even know where to start in terms of getting one. Shops and newsagents here stock them but a large selection for a beginner!

I can talk i,ve never been to the Emerald Isle but i am trying my best to remedy that after GF with my Girl (beautiful Wow factor reccomendations welcome?) I love scenery and wildlife, she loves getting walloped and a bit of nightlife, hahaha. although i,ll ave a bit of that meself. hahaha.

Crazy that coz i love the Oirish and really need to get my arse over there, How expensive is it these days and i must add i do prefer the south to the north,

I have a good few friends from Belfast (mostly cherry on the floor off there feckin cakes) love em to bits but see them at least 5 times a year so almost feel like i know the North if that makes sense. hahaha.

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
