Hello Campers!!

Sunny here too!

I have been looking online at wellies, I really need some good ones this year. I might go and try some on this week sometime.

Hope everyone has a good day! :)

Not that you'll need them Lucy ;)

No! But I must buy new ones to please the Weather Gods :) I have already bought a new waterproof jacket! I need a new sunhat too.

I think all I need is some new shorts, my denim ones developed a hole last year, right on the arse cheek! No one wants to see my backside hanging out while they're trying to eat their felafel! :)

So out of the acts released so far, who is your 'must see'?

A few for me,

Foos

Mothership

Waterboys

DFA1979

Also, Vintage Trouble, Van Morrison and Frank Turner, once they're announced! Hope none of them clash :-/

Edit - Foos, not food! :)

The more I look at the poster and then add on the TBC's the more I fear the clashes will be vast.

I think I may be booking a few gigs as there is no way I will see all I would like to see.

tis always the case. given how many bands they have on, it's quite amazing how many i manage to miss!

Phew!

this is my first Glastonbury and I fully expect to walk through those gates and be greeted in the manner which befits my status.

"Good morning, my good man"

"Ah, doctor, good morning. We've been expecting you. Now, may I take your rucksack? Where is it that you would like to camp? We will, of course, forcibly move anyone who has had the bare-faced cheek to pitch in your desired location".

Oh yes. Yes, indeed. Yup.

    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
