Torrential here today, thunder all night. Yesterday I got sunburnt. Oh well, I've had a decent run of good weather. Was going to move on again today, but there's not much point in this.

Love that tune, I sometimes sing it to myself when in traveling. That or the one that goes "on the road again" ,Willie Nelson I think.

I like the hostel where I am though, it's run by an English guy and this weather is reminding us of home. He's doing homely comfort food for us this evening; bangers and mash!

That was pretty much this morning as well as a load of water falling from the trees every time there was a gust of wind.

Me very very wet indeed! Wore older boots which I discovered are no longer totally waterproof - soggy left foot.

Still, wildlife in the fog is fun.

We've got a b and b near Wells booked. Stayed there the last 2 years. The entrance to the car parks is about 10 minutes down the back roads.

We come in from the East side for the CV fields, have you any idea on the small church that we'd pass on the road? I can't see it on Google Maps, but we turn off the main road (memory hazy on route here) and then travel about 2 miles past a few cottages, this church and some farm buildings. It's a great build up to getting onsite, but of course we can't stop and look around.

Which hotels have you lot booked? In Glastonbury or Pilton?

Unfortunately we were too slow - ended up in the Travelodge in Bath.

We had a meal last year in Wells, after the taxi driver took us on a tour round the old bit. It does seem to close at 9pm though.
