How many saw this?

Best set of the weekend for me. Brilliant at the end with three Clash covers. 'Should I Stay' had Billy Bragg out on guitar and the drummer set up in the crowd. Fantastic.

Kasabian seemed very dull afterwards.

I meant to catch all of their set but ended up getting distracted and just saw the last song plus the Clash covers encore.

I loved it so much I spilt most of my ale dancing, and really regretted not seeing the rest of their performance. Ace.

Watched the first half of the set, then had to go and head off for disclosure (funny combination I know, but I was very happy to see both) and thought it was ace. I do prefer heavier stuff and thought this lot, band of skulls and royal blood thoroughly sated my need for a bit of grunt! Good crowd, too. I'm a bit gutted I missed the Clash/Bragg fun and games, that sounds like it would've been great

Would love more punk at Glastonbury, there tend to be a couple of bands on the smaller stages each year, left field, john peel, williams green but you never see it on the main stages. I wonder if this is because of crowd worries for circle pits etc or because the bands that play that size of stage can get presumably bigger payouts at Reading/Leeds? Would love to see Green Day headlining one day.

Best band of the weekend for me too. SO much energy and quite possibly the first and last circle pit the Leftfield will ever see.

I was stood at the back, knackered but singing my head off wishing I was 20 years younger.

Loved the bit when the singer said he wasn't going to bother retuning his guitar but thought if he didn't the next one would sound like a Billy Bragg song. Billy was laughing his head off at the side.

Was a great show from them was impressed with the crowd they got as well with the other bands on at the same time. Defiantly need more of this at Glastonbury. This was my Sunday night headliner

Yes, yes, yes. Was going to start this thread myself but didn't think anyone else would be interested. Really regret leaving early for Kasabian now, only reason I did was because I'd read that they had some amazing entrance lined up, which turned out to be bollocks. Loved this and I too wish there was more proper punk music at Glastonbury.

Couldn't believe it when I saw Anti-Flag on the bill, they looked so out of place. Was beginning to wonder if I would be in the tent watching them on my own.Did start to spot the odd NoFx and Bad Religion T-shirts as the day went on and was delighted when I saw the crowd.

Absolutely brilliant set.The clash/Billy Bragg part at the finish was a good way to end the festival

Hopefully the fact that they pulled a good crowd will encourage Glastonbury to book some more punk. Maybe a Glastonbury 'lock-up' style tent.

Looking at that video theres tv cameras at the front, there was a camera at the back too. These aren't on the BBC as far as I can tell. Theres no screens so wtf are the cameras there for? Can we see the footage anywhere?

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
    • Yup and they aren't all going to get them, some are going to miss out. Speaking of this, I met someone at RIP who went to RFP and his view was band wise it's value for money but it wasn't a festival itself he'd be rushing to return to. In fairness as well he probably liked more of the headliners there than me this year whereas I was more undercard and he wasn't returning.
    • Maybe Starmer's legacy will be a war with Russia.
    • How were GnR? Seen some videos and pictures and let's just say, the crowd to the sides at the front and in front of the sound tents were let's just say... Sparse compared to LB.
