Cream Tea

Does any where do cream teas at Glastonbury? Was thinking the Tiny Tea Tent but can't remember if they do. Or is there any where else

I don't know if they do but would try the markets around Greenpeace as they had a bakery called Lynda's Loaves where you might be able to get the scones?

Oh in 08 there was a tea place, had real china tea cups and teapots, was by a tree..... had tiny tables and you sat on the floor and had to take muddy wellies of before entering...

That's all I can remember as was my first year and I was in awe of the place.... Didn't see it in 2011....

There's a place in the Greenfields that does superb cream teas, served on proper bone china. It's bloody delicious. Bit of a tradition for us now!

Yes as you walk up the track to the stone circle past tiny tea tent - on your right a little cream tea place with tea in china cups, scones and cakes. It's very close to the send a post card home stall

There is a tree house up in the park that does excellent cream teas

I had one of those cream teas served on China on the Sunday last year. Made me feel human again!

Just remember the cream goes on top, it's the traditional Cornish way and also correct way to do it.

For those who want cream tea to go, there's a stall on right-hand track as you go from the Meeting Point to West Holts (next to Square Pie) that does scones, jam, cream, and strawberries. It's all clingfilmed in, but the scones are OK.

Wow, just popped onto this thread to discover The Cream Tea Appreciation Society in full swing. If you see a middle aged bloke staggering by with a scone in one hand and an alcoholic drink of some nature in the other, then that might be me meeting you half way on the Cream Tea appreciation thing.

A scone with currents in it can take you to places where no other baked cake can take you.

This thread rocks. What a little hidden gem of delight it is. God bless the Cream Tea and the sanctuary it provides from the maddening crowd. There's a reasonable play on words in there, I think. However, it could be the vulgar bastardisation of a piece of English literature that's at play. Talking of play, it's nearly start of play time at Glastonbury.
