Metallica or Foo Fighters

I prefer the Foos - but very glad it's Metallica as they seem to stick more to the rock festivals, so I'd be less likely to actually see them otherwise

The Foos I know will be around again, this feels special

Would pay about £25 max to see Metallica at their own gig if a few mates were going.

Would say no to a free Foos ticket if offered.

Metallica any day of the week! The Foo's are festival whore's. A full on metal headliner has been needed on the pyramid for a few years now, hopefully this paves the way for the likes of Iron maiden/ACDC/Marylin Manson making an appearence in the coming years.

Foo Fighters are quite expensive and less likely to decrease their usual fee for Glastonbury than Metallica.

I'd prefer to see Foo Fighters but I think Metallica deserve this shot. It seems that there are a lot of people with some daft misconceptions about metal/heavy rock music.

I'd have loved the Foos as I adore them but I've seen them live lots of times now, I'm happy with Metallica (though need to do some Spotify listening! I just remember the Metallica of my youth...)

Grohl is a massive geek for music history. He was pretty emotional about playing Wembley Stadium, so I don't think the importance of Glastonbury has passed him by. I imagine Foos will be another band playing Glastonbury to tick it off their bucket list.

As for playing which I'd prefer.... I think Foos would be more in keeping with Glasto than Metallica. I've seen both bands a few times, so feel pretty neutral as far as my desire to see either band goes. I just can't get my head around metal at Glastonbury. Where will the sing alongs be found?!

Can't help thinking Foos would have been more apt for Glasto on the In Your Honor tour though, before they became a parody of themselves and had some nice acoustic things going on. They're past their best now, which is a shame.
