I know they have a lot of cover songs already but what do people think about them doing something special for Glastonbury? A la, Muse- Streets have no name. After all, they have enough warm up time. The 9th is their last gig before Glastonbury.

I was at Rock am Ring and really enjoyed Metallica. It was rammed as you'd expect for them at RaR. No pyro (at least not on the stage). The production was really good and the sound is outstanding there. Then again, it is a really thin crowd with the balcony on one side, so it is easier to have that amazing sound.

I spent the whole time debating if Metallica will go down well at Glasto. I'm just not sure. I think that they will win everyone over, or the field will be half empty before they get to Master of Puppets. I just don't know!

I was also debating if I should watch them at Glastonbury or not. Having just seen them in their natural environment was great, but do I want to see them at the big G (and potentially flop), I'm not sure.

What's with no pyros or fireworks with metallicas last few shows? The intro to One is always a highlight for me it just didn't feel right without the huge explosions at the start.

Yeah. I cant recall any. Maybe because of the design of the stage there isn't enough head room.

The top of the stage covers the whole stage nearly doesnt it? Any on stage pyro would obviously be a fire hazard. And if they build out from the stage like the Stones did and have the pyro on that it'll be too near the crowd.

Nah thats ot a concern They turned a profit from that in the end. I just think the Pyramid Stage restricts their pyro show and they're practicing for that.
