I got a ticket for next year, I've thought about almost nothing else since I got it.

how long will this excitement last?

it's my first glastonbury, maybe that's it, I've been to countless festivals (T, Rockness, Green Man etc) but I've already started looking at tents, wellies, stoves, kettles ...

seriously, this can't go on, it's 8 months away ffs !!!

There is nothing wrong with glastobating, you should feel free to glastobate openly. At work, in the pub, even driving! Nothing beats the big grin that glastobating gives you :) well, apart from actually being there of course!

There are mornings while I'm driving into work that my mind wanders to Worthy Farm and it makes the rush hour traffic very enjoyable!

I don't think there's a week goes by where I don't think about the festival in some way be it memories of past years or the expectation of next year.

The excitement will last until the Monday after when you're on your way home. Then you still start to worry about not getting a ticket next time. This will build and build until you let it out in a flurry of f5ing sometime in October. Then hopefully the whole cycle will repeat itself forever.....

(apart from fallow years)

I'm worried that I'm thinking about the ticket process in October 2014, I'm that excited :-s . There are many fine things to do in the world, but I'm counting down days until Glastonbury 2013; the excitement doesn't really diminish, and I do grin when I see the sticker on cars.

This is my 6th Glasto and I am exactly the same!! The excitement doesnt go away - it only gets worse. The run up to Glasto is worse than Christmas as a kid!

I spend my days Glastobating but now I have annoyed most of my friends and family by constantly talking about Glastonbury I am hitting the Forums!

What tent did you go for then? I'm in a similar situation as you, since getting our first ever tickets for a festival of any kind I can't stop thinking about it, and look on here almost 24/7. Jesus I'll be exhausted from all the excitement before we even get there!

We didn't get tickets last year, but were lucky this year! This year will be my 4th and my other half's 7th. It's always in the back of my mind, and glastobate at every opportunity, esp with the two newbie's tagging along this year.

Would def agree with previous post, it is a 10000000 times worse once you KNOW how amazing it really is!

Enjoy it. :-)

It never goes away. We've not been for three years due to havin a baby, but he's 2 now and we've got tickets. Its something we often talk about, we even bought a trailer to transport him in prior to tickets going on sale!

On another note, please don't abandon you tent, I have worked in previous years and it's such a hassle having to clear up tents etc. love the farm, leave no trace

coz I'm flying home and will have no room,

I'm sure one wee pop up tent won't be a drop in the ocean compared to what's left there,[/quote

Fold it up and take it with you then leave it at a charity shop.

    • This basically!, it's about as clear as day they'll be there.
    • Yeah there is no down time, I'm still tired and over thinking from last weeks work. A big reality check this week. If you just do it for the money you always will.

    • Robbie Williams would fit with the current state of the legend’s slot, and he’d bring the house down.
