Frank subbing Will? I wasn't aware he'd become that much more popular since last time and didn't he play fourth down then?

God knows. I had been predicting him 3rd, but I couldn't think of another sub, and he has had an arena tour since last time. Dunno, just thought that going by ticket sales he outdoes Buggy boy.

Yeah, that was my point to begin with - that there is normally a new headliner. I don't believe there is a trend or tradition of it but I do feel that FR seem to like doing it and I would always predict there to be one each year but on that note, I wouldn't be overly surprised if there wasn't a new headliner one year.

It's okay Calvin Harris is a new headliner.

I like to think of Bugg as a one off occurrence rather than the rule from now on though :P

Oh lawdy lawd no.

He did a little arena tour since then and he'll be doing another bigger one to promote the new album next year. I'll be surprised if he's only in third.

I forgot about the arena tour. It wasn't very little though was it? If he does an even bigger one surely that'll affect things though and make him a good third as everyone who'll have wanted to see him will have done so on that tour? I'm writing this but then think of how Biffy did a large arena tour, only a few dates sold out, but went on to headline so I feel everything I'm saying is shite so.... :P

Haha, I had a quick scour back to find my latest prediction and saw all the Calvin Harris stuff :P

I can see them possibly doing what IoW did and have him on after an act but not as an outright headliner.

I thought it was half arenas and half level-below-arenas or something. But yeah I think that'll put him in line to sub. VW did an arena tour though and aren't subbing so might not but Frank's in the FR good books so I think it'll happen.

IoW is a festival that would book Calvin Harris. R+L is not.

Do you not count VW as subbing? A part of me feels like they kind of are as otherwise it's just QOTSA headlining Reading and Paramore headlining Leeds and then the whole 'co-headliner' concept isn't really real.

You think so? R&L may do well booking someone like him though as he's damn popular at the moment.

Vampire Weekend are on the same line as the rest of the subs on the poster too.

I guess if you asked FR they'd claim VW were subbing (not that they'd really give a shit...)

Doubt it. They wouldn't even confirm Jake Bugg was subbing.

If they get as long as the subs then yeah but I can't see it happening .

I really want to go do that actually but I'm making another BLT with cream cheese and playing some Metal Gear Rising so I'm not gonna leave the house tbh.

I wouldn't bother either but I haven't left the house since A-Levels finished so its probably for the best.
