PTGD - any sufferers?

Guest mr jolly

Post traumatic glastonbury disorder (PTGD) is an anxiety disorder which may develop following exposure to anyone who has been and had too much fun at glastonbury. "as a sufferer of PTGD it made me realise i was not "crazy" or "abnormal"..well,not all the time

Surely PGSD? PTGD would refer to somebody who's seen some horrors in war or been in a nasty car accident, which has subsequently caused them to attend Glastonbury.

I had a meltdown on the tube today. Took my wristband off last night, having not seen anyone else in London with one on.

On my trip to work I saw three wristbands and two car stickers, and missed that look between strangers that acknowledges you shared a separate same moment.

Put my wristband back on this evening.....

The best solution is more festivals. Nothing compares to Glastonbury but other festivals, particularly the delightful smaller ones that are too small to compare, can take your mind off it.

Just had an excellent four/five days at the Village Pump Festival at Westbury in Wiltshire. No comparisons are possible to Glasto but the gang was reunited and the banter was as good as ever.

The more festivals I do the more I'm convinced that it's the company that makes it - not the music or the other entertainment that may be on offer.

PGSD or.. PTGD..hit me hard again today. I'd been living relatively blissfully for a few weeks or so but today I found myself looking through my photos and just generally pining for Glasto again. The next festival I have planned isn't until mid September..roll on Riot Fest..

Back to reality is rubbish, was planning on Bestival in September as a pick me up but instead am using the money towards a mortgage!! Massive boring reality check with too much to think about.

But let's hope for good weather for the rest of the summer to make things easier :)

True, Bingley Music Live at the end of the month. Looking forward to grooving with Chic and partying with the pirates.

    • Currently obsessed with Slayyyter, but not sure either she would be a headliner ? Although in august 2024 Chappel Roan was at the same point : a breakout set at Coachella, a first appearance on a late night talk show in june, an incredible crowd at lollapalooza, numbers going up along the buzz. So who knows ?!
    • Is she any bigger than last time? Still firmly a sub for me. Not sure the interest would be as strong for her headlining.
