Business wise it makes more sense for them to play tw classic though so you can't expect that... the rest of the lineup would have suffered too.

On one hand I guess having Pearl Jam on the line-up in an almost european festival exclusive (and a full show, whatever that means) cost a lot of money but on the other hand they booked Pixies and The Black Keys on the same day before they booked PJ. That (and the strong Thursday) show me what kind of potential this year festival could have if the tickets sales were at normal rate. But despite the weak Friday line up and the so-so Sunday (got decent all-around type of bands), I think pinkpop is the only mixed\mainstream festival that have a line-up in this year RW caliber so far.

I'm thinking about it and have no real clue! But Arcade Fire and Kasabian are not the Baaang Glasto gives every year so I'm thinking something different and not expectable... Daft Punk? Bowie? Only Foos appearance in Europe?

Why? They're gigging over in the states in early June, nothing booked after that. Glasto has another headline slot free..

Word is that Metallica are the third Glasto headliner but that is not confirmed.

Talking of glasto I have tickets to both hut can't afford both so will have to sell/refund one. Fir me the RW line up is amazing. And would stick around Belgium and have a little holiday too. But glasto is supposed to be incredible with the extra bits. Would I be mad to pass on glasto? I've not been to either

The whole Metallica thing stemmed from that awful April Fools joke about them doing Hounds of Love in full. I seriously doubt it will be Metallica headlining.
