If I can persuade my friends to try a big European festival instead then I'd like to try somewhere else. Glasto definitely doesn't have the "be all and end all" feel it once had for me, don't know it that's age or the festivals changed, or both. But Glasto has such inertia that I think its going to be hard to get them to shift away. So, probably, yes.

For the past few years I've been approaching each as if it were my last (have been doing this since 2009!), and haven't decided yet. Before each I think it'll be my final one, but afterwards I just want to go back! I'll make a decision once the dust has settled.

I don't think this will make a difference. Tickets go on sale before the headliners are even announced and have sold out in a few hours for the last four festivals. These festivals have all taken place since the economic downturn as well, so it hasn't made any difference.

I will be trying for a ticket.

I think next year will be just be even more in demand what with the extensive BBC coverage, nice weather & people finally realising all & more of the bands they want to see at IoW, V etc will be there.

    • Ok, ok, I have done it! Not because of limitless upvoats but to support the Efestivals site.
    • She was/is 100% in the mix, but I don't know specific timings and how it relates to that interview. They've clearly gone after her, again.   It could be read in a number of ways - she was in negotiations at that point, she was talking about BST (and he's interpreted it, as we have, as Glastonbury). Who knows
    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band that have meant so much to me over the last 40 years. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
