Great ending in the Prem too. City haven't won it yet. I can't help but feel Liverpool thought they'd won it after the City game. The celebrations were way OTT and this "We go again" nonsense and a few other catchphrases became a big thing. The players lack of experience at the business end of the season showed I think. Gerrards slip was a massive massive mistake.

City on the other hand didn't flinch. Or haven't yet!

The only issue I took with what you were saying was the fact that you thought Zipfs Law was applicable to Birmingham as a whole and I thought it was nothing to do with it. You based this on the idea that Birmingham "isn't a thriving economy that a potential investor would be attracted to tap into" That seems to be false.

I agree there must be reasons as to why there has been no one lining up to invest in Birmingham football clubs and have said so above, believing it to be because there is specific issues with those clubs themselves that have made them not so attractive to potential investors looking to invest in a football club, but it has nothing to do with Birmingham being a small second city and not worthy of investment. That was all I was saying

In a way it was charming to see a player so worked up and excited that he couldn't contain his tears, but yes it certainly adds to the amusement of them not winning it.

This is due to Birmingham being a small second city (if it's a second city at all), and other comparable cities such as Manchester are growing at a faster rate, and attracting investment at a faster rate. Therefore other cities and their football clubs are more tempting to investors as these days investors in football clubs want to tap into the money that can be gleaned from local corporate money...

Some kind of batshit inverse pragmatism has gotten us to 2nd place and unlike Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd we've pushed the richest club in the world to the last day of the season.

Our "tactics" have made this one of the best league campaigns of my lifetime. Fantastic year.
