Irony is that if Arsenal didnt play silly buggers with this "clause" the transfer might have gone through by now. Similar money to the Torres deal gets the player last week I reckon.

Will be a real hoot if Madrid make any kind of offer for him. Given the manner in which Arsenal have gone about this we'll be in nae interest to sell to them one would think.

They might have to step in there with a late bid for Osman, Nal. Moysie would wanna work fast on that one.

Loss of the player, inability to find replacement, strengthening of a rival. This transfer won't happen under current circumstances.

Suarez's value won't depreciate that much. 5 million maybe? Ten? So we sell him to Madrid next season for 30 million. Whether we're turning a profit or upholding a principle I can't see John Henry selling this player to Arsenal Football Club for that price.

If Suarez wants to leave let him hand in a signed transfer request. Or, let him make this really interesting and take us to court. We'll see how steady the heads and hands are at the Emirates should this take place.

Trouble is no owner is ever going to do it. Let him rot in the reserves = losing at least 40 million smackeroos. And as much as I'd love someone to make a stand and do it, club owners never will as they either have to answer to shareholders or are massive capitalists greedy bastards.

If I was an Arsenal fan I'd be hoping that Wenger would offer another couple million and end this fiasco. If everyone remains intransigent, the player will take the thing to court and a load of funny stuff will inevitably be raked up. Not all of it about LFC either.

If LFC are offered 50 million (lets say) from Arsenal, the player is theirs. Its that simple.

Think a lot of people's backs are up - Fenway in particular - with the barefaced cheek of the last Arsenal bid. Don't blame 'em either.

LFC don't need to sell. Time is not a factor here for us.

Suarez is one of the 20 best footie players on the planet - this fact is not going to change today or tomorrow. Let's sit tight and see what happens.

As an Arsenal fan for over 35 years I personally hope we don't sign him. An absolutely fantastic player but comes with so much baggage. Spent a lot of time back in the day defending wrongdoers at our club (Paul Davis, Tony Adams, Paul Merson, Ian Wright etc) Difference was they felt like one of our own. Feel sorry for the LFC fans who have backed him to the hilt (rightly or wrongly). They deserve better and I hope he disappears from English football.

Arsenal haven't won a trophy for 3000 days now, would you not want to take a bit of a gamble on a "wrongdoer" and increase the chances of winning a trophy by a pretty big margin?

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
