Yes a lovely time and some great sunsets. The atmosphere changes and there's that tingling of excitement as we get ready for our night out.

Also the wonderful smell of woodsmoke starts to fill the air.

Its also around that time on Wednesday evening that you hear the 'Glastonbury Cheer' go up - a Mexican wave of excited, happy cheering, clapping, whistling and whooping that crosses the site normally beginning in the campsites and flowing down into town....

Nothing like it. Can't wait.

my favourate moment is when you're walking from the Glade up towards the naughty corner and the sun is setting directly behind you. The crowds of people making the sunlight dance and the excitment of the evening ahead of you....

Yeah that first Dusk on the Wednessday ...there's a special sort of Atmosphere about! Normally find myself at up in the stone circle/viewing area but even just walking around other bits it seems have a nice effect on everyone.

The calm before the party :D

My traditional start to the festival is to go up to the stone circle about an hour before dusk and ingest something psychadelic, then get the madness started off by watching a goddamned beautiful sunset, being overwhelmed with joy at being back in my favourite place.

I remember a few years ago I did just this - 2009, perhaps ? - and the sky was unlike anything i've ever seen, it turned a slight shade of green that i've never seen a sky turn before. And no, it wasn't the psychadelics - we took photos to prove it !

    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
    • Not expecting a tour imminently but Peter Gabriel would fit the vibes magnificently.
    • I have but a very long time ago and can remember nothing about it at all. Which I suppose is a review of sorts
    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
