3.5m across does sound quite big, but if there are 15 people using it I guess it's not too bad. You could have a couple of people sleep in it too.

Of course, you'll need more than 3.5m as there will need to be space around the edge so that you can get out of your tents; as it has walls. So you'll probably need a good 5m wide communal space; just over a 1m² per person. I can't see anyone having too many problems with that - except for Russy and Meg.

I'd say that was more of a see-through tent than a gazebo?!

We were camped next to a group with one of these last year - it was a right pain in the arse to navigate past when trying to reach our tent, as you can't just nip under the corner of it when you can't get round the outside of it!

Not that I suppose you'd care much about that, of course...

But Carol, you make a great point. People "overtenting" dont get frowned on, but 6 x 2 man tents with a shared gazebo get vilified. Just saying, I'm in a van this time

Someone on twitter said last week that they had bought a 5 man tent for 2 people and I told them they must camp in a less popular area!
