They should be. There is also Lost Horizons sauna up by the Ti-pi field which is a great place to chill out with a nice bit of land too for some nude sunbathing. Always a good way to spend some time :)

I take it these saunas are mixed and nude? If so, I'll go for the less ridiculous option of staying in my tent while the sun comes up. Or just have a shower.

2010 was great weather for sauna!

I have to confess that I have still yet to pluck up the courage, friends use it all the time and look at me like I'm mad for passing it up.

Magic Hat is okay. Bit cramped and rushed. Showers have some privacy.

Lost Horizons is much better. You can easily loose a couple of hours there. Bands playing, a cafe, open showers and the most amazing yurt sauna and hammocks. Plenty of shady knooks and crannies if the sun is out. Plenty of shared tipi space if you wish.

You pay for both. Lost Horizons allows you to return everyday for your one payment. Whatever the weather, its a really good way to get clean and re-combobulated.

Lost Horizons saved me in 2010, a fantastic way to rid yourself of the dust and sunscreen, and a nice hose down shower. Also it is dark in the sauna, so a great way to be nude and not too scared!

I've not been myself, but the photos look very inclusive. You don't have to strip off, as long as you don't have an issue with anyone who does want to, or act pervy! Think I may give it a go this year. Could always go in trunks, and see how comfortable I feel. People say being naked is a liberating feeling, but it's all individual really.

which would you say are the best showers onsite? I'm not really down with the communal nakedness thing and probably will resort to baby wipe showers all week, but just in case i feel the urge to be clean.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
