Saw John Grant for the first time last night at Bridgewater in Manchester with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, was amazing, such a talented man and his new material sounded really good.

Hope he plays again next year.

I only really discovered him and properly got into Pale Green Ghosts after the festival so I agree it would be brilliant to have him back.

Just managed to bag a last minute ticket for Bristol tonight, from some kind soul on facebook. Should be an amazing gig.

JG was quite wonderful in Birmingham Town Hall last night. Four new songs, three belters, the other one very nice too. Bodes very well for LP3...

Well, he was fucking majestic at Bristol. The orchestra were wonderful and Vietnam, It Doesn't Matter To Him, Pale Green Ghosts and Glacier (of course) were transcendent. Great crowd, fantastic musicianship, terrific artist. Probably one of the best gigs I've ever been to. His new stuff sounds really solid as well.

EDIT: I understand a certain Ms Eavis was also in attendance.

Aside from the odd lost signal, that was brilliantly done, I think. It sounded great. And the gig itself was just gorgeous - such beautiful arrangements and what a voice. Bloody excellent stuff.
