for any people in cornwall, get down to Middle Penpol Farm, St Veep, Lostwithiel and pick up some Penpol Farm Scrumpy. super cheap and absolutely beautiful (and strong). Discovered it by accident, its just some dude selling it out of a barn down a tiny country lane.

The Wild Wood still cider ain't too bad actually. I bought a gallon of cider from the spark ford service station in 2010 and it was vile! So definitely be careful of what you buy!

On the road approaching the west carpark there is a garage that sells it.

They have had the same handwritten sign for at least fifteen years stating "Cider For Sell". As you can tell from the sign it is lethal stuff.

if you pay 7.99 for a 3 litre wyld wood you are being ripped off! Its often on sale for £6 and sometimes even £5 when on special offer!

Heck's cider in Street is excellent stuff, about 4.50 for 4litres of regular, but their Kingston black is the business at 7.50

How well does open cider keep in those jugs? I'll be all by myself and if I drink a gallon of cider in one sitting, festival will be over for me that day.

Since I'll have a good part of the day to kill, I may stop at Burrow Hill to get their cider in a box... if anything like boxed wine, it should keep well.

I always see the signs advertising cider on Te road down from Bristol and I want to stop and get some but by that time after a 5 hour drive in a really uncomfortable driving position I'm that desperate to get on site that I never want to stop. I definitely want to do it this year and hopefully as we'll be staying somewhere close by on the Monday I won't feel in quite so much of a hurry.
