Additions to the Glastonbury 2015 playlist over the past week: Stornoway, Lonelady, Joy Orbison, Robert Hood, Nicole Moudaber, Nizlopi, Sound of the Sirens, Attila the Stockbroker, Damian Lazarus, Flipron, The Burning Hell, Seven Little Sisters, The Fearless Light, Jon Rundell, Tankus the Henge, King Porter Stomp and Special Request.

I had resisted paying for spotify premium for so long. This playlist finally forced my hand :P

I'm going to ask them for commission.

My discovery so far from the list:

Gregory Porter - now hoping for a chilled sunny afternoon to watch him on :)

Not my bag but glad you're making discoveries!

My new find today (courtesy of your mega playlist BSR)

Bomba Estereo wow. Where will they be playing dude? Can't stop listening to them

Shangri La. Presumably Hell Stage. I'm glad about them too, they sound great fun and played Sonic last year but I missed them. Hopefully it'll work out this time.

Added Weller last night. Unless you've been following his career pretty closely, you aren't going to recognise any of his 5 most played tunes (although Into Tomorrow and White Sky are actually good).

Thank you so much for introducing me to Spotify and to everybody who has shared playlists. It's made my day! Kid with new toy here. Didn't get much work done but my list of "must sees" has got a lot longer.

:) :) :)

Good to hear Crystal, enjoy!

Recent additions to the Glastonbury 2015 playlist: Dr Meaker, the Bleedin Noses, Krakota, Logistics, Etherwood, Ellen Allien, SBTRKT, Grandmaster Flash, Wyles & Simpson, the Shires, Akua Naru, the Brass Funkeys, and new from the Block 9 lineup: Cerrone, Sven von Thulen, Mr G, Mark E, Joe Claussell, Honey Dijon, DJ Pierre, Andy Butler, Horse Meat Disco, Jah Shaka, Loefah, Youngsta and Mella Dee.

I've put the Block 9 acts in order after the poster, about 2/5 of the way down.

Out of curiosity, how do most people approach the Glastonbury 2015 Spotify playlist. Do you go for the shuffle approach or do you just listen to it in order of artists?

Was shuffling, but now working my way down it to identify the good sh*t...

I shuffle it, I do a lot of skipping (of tracks, not literally, actually I prob have skipped to some tunes....) anyway, yeah shuffle is good, get to mix it up a bit and hear stuff you wouldn't normally. Its an immense playlist, BSR really is a top dude for sorting it.

Hear, hear. Top work that man.

I've mainly been shuffling but when it comes to resuming my listening I've often encountered the same songs again which is sometimes a little annoying. Not sure if Spotify is clever enough to know what I've already listened to or not?

I'm now playing through it in order and will skip those I'm not interested in. Will see how that works out for me!

shuffle it, and if there's something I like I drag it to a separate playlist for later listening and investigation and that.

Cheers Perks, psward and mandolin, good to hear. I will be at the eFests meet on the Weds if you would like to show your appreciation in liquid form :D

As to how to approach the playlist, I've been going through it in order and adding stuff to a personal playlist, but also putting it on shuffle every now and then, which has thrown up a few gems I'd previously overlooked. And some of the contrasts you get from one track to another can be highly amusing!

I've updated some of the poster acts based on recent setlists, put the Avalon Stage acts in order of appearance, and added recent self-confirmations/TBCs Lazy Habits, Rusty Shackle, Sentient, Dutty Moonshine, My Baby, Sam Duckworth, Fast Eddie, Flight Brigade and The Correspondents.

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
