The Glade

Arcadia is being relocated to where The Glade stood. To enable less crowd in the late night area and allow a large Arcadia crowd to spill over onto the Other Stage field.

Also read that The Glade wouldn't have returned anyway as the "entity" that owned it / ran it have gone their separate ways.

Something like that anyway!

That's soul destroying news, I'm not really a fan of fire so I'm not too fussed about Arcadia. Loved The Glade though, it was my favourite stage, had so much character to it, it wasn't just a stage infront of a field. How is Arcadia going to fit in to that space without setting the trees on fire?

I took the fact that Simian Mobile Disco and Mixhell are playing spirit of 71 to mean it had now combined with the glade stage in the same position. Complete guesswork though. Arcadia could still be in that corner of the field as it's only running 12-3am

Call me stupid but surely Arcadia cannot be located in the Glade, can it? Frames and trees won't mix that well!

I was under the impression Arcadia is to situated between the Other Stage Field and Dance Village area

Its seems to me Arcadia will be the other stage side of the Glade, facing towards the other stage field (Hence they have the opening party on thursday without worrying about the crowd issues). I am thinking more where the glade lounge (i think that's its name) bar is, with either the crew area/crowd viewing area in amongst the trees.

Maybe moving a few of those traders at the top of the other stage, away from that area a bit to more crowd room.

Then the spirit of '71 staying where it was, but with some of the acts that would have been on the Glade move to it's program.

In 2003 I loved the Glade and I went there a couple of times in 2007 but in 2011 the 'G-Stage' looked format looked a bit tired. It would be a shame to lose the G-Stage and keep Spirit of 71 stage (which I never saw anyone there!).

I think moving Arcadia to the area where the Spirit of 71 was will be a positive move!

    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?
