Stop winding people up. There's no way Emily would be rubbishing links to the Stones, even if it's fallen through. She's mocking the complete fabrications!

if they're not happening, then she has to get the info that they're not happening out there somehow. I've always realised that how they might do that is a bit of an issue for them, cos to have to say that a band had rejected them that everyone knew they were chasing has an embaressment factor.

I don't particularly think she's on about the stones, but her words certainly include the possibility that she's referring to them.

oooer! ..... Scott has just pointed out to me that Emily has made this tweet on the same day that the new Hyde Park event has adjusted the dates that it's running - presumably to accommodate the Stones.

Are the two related? It's not impossible.

presumably you are using this to indicate that The Stones ARE playing, and Emily has tweeted this morning because she now knows for sure that she's not going to have to pretend to be able to stomach any of the guff that's been suggested like Rhianna and Mariah.

I tell you, this conincidence of Scotty's is a source. That coupled with last night's Pointless makes it a dead cert. Change the Stones from SR to ITDPIETROTLD (If They Don't Play I'll Eat The Remnants Of The Long Drops) please Neil!

i doubt she'd announce that they haven't got the Stones in such a lax, care-free way, and call it 'nonsense', especially when it's well known to.. well.. everybody that they've been desperately trying to get them to headline. it'd be like her tweeting 'well we didn't want the Stones anyway!'

it's gotta be Prince, Mariah and Rihanna

The Hyde Park dates are now 5th to 14th July, previously 28th June to 7th July. Which, in my opinion, makes The Stones neither more likely or less likely in my opinion. That said, it might make them more likely as there is now a bit more of a gap between the Festival and the Hyde Park dates giving the band time to rest up for another show. Or not.

but it would still be a nonsense story for a newspaper to say they were playing if they're not.

As I've said the stones aren't top of my list for who she's referring to, but they can't be ruled out - they fit within what she's said.

I can't see why moving the Hyde Park dates makes any difference to the Stones playing - if they were 28 June to 7 July, The Stones could easily play the Saturday and the last Hyde Park date - it gives them at least a week's rest.

Though they could've said they wouldn't do Hyde Park unless they had a clear two weeks between the two shows, in which case they really do call the shots. And they REALLY do want to do Glastonbury. Ooooh!

I don't think it does either.

But what the date change suggests is that the Stones have committed to play at Hyde Park (tho of course the date change could be for other reasons), which means they're also probably likely to have told Glastonbury one way or the other at about the same time.

Well I actually think this shift is because of the Stones. On iorr.org the rumors were about -2- London shows. So two Hyde Park shows wouldn't have been possible with Glasto on the 1st weekend and Bon Jovi on the 2nd...keep in mind, the Stones won't play to shows in two days.

I also think that the rumors only work in combination. The Stones are rumored to have a larger US tour. Their UK trip does only make sense with Hyde Park AND Glasto.

imho.

    • Geese playing for 1:20 instead of just an hour was a lovely surprise. The energy was great!
    • Oh well that's why then, I assumed it was still the same. Thanks!
