We represent scheme

Has anyone actually signed up to the we represent scheme. It looks like it could be worth it if you and 8 others are going. Sell 8 get your own ticket free. I wonder if it is as no strings attached as it sounds.

It could be a way for some on here to get a free ticket out of organising the way they normally do.

My mistake. How ridiculous of me to think that people who spend a large proportion of time using this site to discuss the festival and find out information about it might want to purchase tickets they would anyway in a way that might support it.

I always think these schemes are a bit of a shit, but then I've never really been in a bigish group of people for anything so would obviously rather they just didn't bother with discounting for people with lots of friends...(For example I am getting the same, maybe less campsite space as I don't need the communal area but end up paying more).

And help the site, the ads alone don't support it.

I agree in principle, I generally try to use links for tixs I buy as long as they are posted but I've got to point out the hypocrisy about you having used ebay to get cheap tixs the last 3 times (if I remember correctly) you've gone to Reading festival.

In previous experience of this type of scheme for Beach Break at university, where tickets are only £100 or so, it never worked out really worth it for the amount of effort reps had to put in trying to get students to buy their tickets off them.

Most gave up on it & bought their own ticket as most people who went just went directly to the website for a ticket rather than through their own rep link out of sheer laziness to bother.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
