Just had a scare. Checked Example's tour dates to make sure he is playing the Saturday and clashing with Primal Scream and start of Rolling Stones rather than the Sunday, it said he was playing in Luxembourg on the Saturday...

Clicked through onto the Luxembourg festival's page and it turns out he is in fact playing the Sunday. Pumpkins clashing with the Primal Scream and Rolling Stones would have ruined my weekend.

oh... That is feckin' dandy. So glad I can see both :) Seen Dino twice before, once playing Bug in full and once in a tiny club in Bristol, but could see fuck all as i'm a short bastard. Them on the Park will be splendid. Hopefully just after Calexico.

Are they DEFINITELY clashing with Nick Cave? This isn't a dig at the XX, but surely they're so much bigger and would Billy's ego allow them to sub to the XX? Also, it finishes the festival on a bit of a downer?

I am however looking forward to hightailing it away from the Pyramid from Nick Cave as the sheep arrive.

Actually hope they will be there to get a "good" spot if such a thing exists for Mumford, so they get exposed to some decent music. My "good spot" will be elsewhere from the Pyramid!

Shit. I really don't know what to do.

Love Nick Cave, really like: Pumpkins. Winner Nick Cave

Seen 2 weeks ago: Nick Cave, not seen for ages: Pumpkins. Winner: Should be Pumpkins, but Nick Cave was SO good wshen I saw him.

Arg. This sucks. Fucking hard. Can I write to my MP?

I'm a massive Nick Cave fan, but I don't think he'll be that great on the Pyramid in the light sandwiched between Mumford & Sons & The Vaccines (if that is the running order) So at this moment in time the Smashing Pumpkins is where I'll be at.

Of course it helps that I have tickets to see Cave in Oct & will possibly catch him if I go to one of the euro fests he's playing.

Vaccines are on the Friday, I'd probably say Kenny Rogers - Elvis Costello - Nick Cave - Mumfords.

I'm a new Cave fan and I've been a fan of Smashing Pumpkins for a good 6 or 7 years so it's quite easy to pick for me, it's just I'd pick Nick Cave over 95% of the other acts. Plus, if PiL are actually before Smashing Pumpkins, I'll be chuffed to bits.

Surprised Nick wasn't subbing the Monkeys! In fact fucking yes!!! He's deffo playing Friday sub - he'll come on and do Red Right Hand with AM!!! This is gonna be amazing!!!!!! OMG.

P.S. I know I'm building myself up for an almighty fall.

Edit. I am a fool. I forgot Nick was on the Pyramid and not the other stage. Gah. If they were on the other stage, they wouldn't have clashed. I am whipping myself in shame and renewed disappointment. My apologies.

Edit of the edit. It's not all bad! Maybe no collaboration, but if Pumpkins are on the Friday, then at least no clash and ya never know, Grinderman might paly on the Friday allowing the collaboration. They're doing Coachella (as well as the Bad Seeds)...
