it probably would but Coldplay played last year before their album came out, if they don't then I reckon they would be a cert for 2014

Having Arcade Fire as a potential headliner at this years Glastonbury, I would only really have expected them to play The Suburbs (as Glasto never got it) or maybe a hits tour with maybe one or two new tracks thrown in from their next album. I don’t think anyone really expected or be too bothered by a new album before the festival.

Craptastic considering they are not still tour, looks doubtful unless they do a few festival dates to get a bit of PR before the album

I think that rules them out. A shame. I'd much rather see some headliners that are big for things they've done recently, rather than 20 - 40 years ago. I'd like the festival to be a reflection of current music, and I think it always was until the last 10 years or so. There's room for legends, but the current trend for bands reforming is getting stupid.

Arcade Fire are one of the best bands of recent years, and the festival will be a poorer place without them.
